My boldest shout this season is that Brighton will finish 5th, if they keep Baleba... Let me explain my reasoning! 🧐 Finished 8th last year, but only 5 points off 5th placed Newcastle 🧐 Took 33 points from their final 18 games from mid January, only City and Liverpool took more in that period 🧐 Fabian Hürzeler has had a year to adapt 🧐 Had a massive injury crisis: March started 1 League game, Kadiolgu 5, O'Riley 11... even Rutter only started 19 🧐 Some really exciting signings, particularly defensively: De Cuyper, Coppola, Boscagli but also Watson and Kostoulas (watch out for Kostoulas) 🧐 Won't be playing European football I think the area between 5th and 9th which I think will include Newcastle, Villa, Spurs and United, as well as Brighton, will be very competitive. But as it stands on the 14th August, with Baleba still at the club, I'm backing Brighton!
