Ensuring citizens and the public have access to timely and accurate information is a key responsibility of local government entities.
Public relations and communications professionals from districts, the City of Kigali, and provinces completed a three-day capacity-building workshop today in Musanze District.
The training aimed at strengthening their skills and knowledge to better serve citizens.
Participants also discussed their role in ensuring the public receives accurate information about the upcoming local government elections.

Today Minister @Dominiquehab joined @GiveDirectlyRw, partners and recipient families to celebrate a decade of partnership in Rwanda.
To-date, 285,000 households have been supported to graduate out of poverty. Testimonies from recipient revealed that thier household incomes have increased, food security is stronger, children are going to school, and families are building productive assets of their own.
The Minister urged families already supported to safeguard their gains and build resilience, and avoid anything that could set them back, including alcohol abuse, drunkenness and other harmful behavior, and to stand as role models in their communities.
The Minister also called on future recipients to plan their projects carefully, learn from those who have already prospered, and invest the support wisely to build strong, self-reliant families.
