How bybit p2p scam works⚠️ If you trade USDT or crypto on Bybit, Binance or KuCoin please read this before your bank account gets frozen or you end up in EFCC / Police trouble! What is happening right now? Scammers are now using innocent P2P traders to wash dirty money. A scammer steals money or hacks someone's account (sometimes millions of Naira). They go on Bybit/Binance and open an order to buy USDT from YOU. Instead of paying from their own account, they transfer the stolen money directly into your account. You check your bank app, see the alert, and release the crypto. Boom! The actual owner of the stolen money reports to their bank/Police. The bank places a PND / Lien (freeze) on your account because dirty money touched it. Now you lose your money, your bank account gets locked, and you are left trying to prove your innocence to the bank or EFCC!

Crypto shouldn’t stop at the wallet. You need a way to move it, swap it, and actually spend it. Your favorite online tools don’t care that your money is in crypto. They want a card payment. That gap between “I have money” and “I can pay” is where a lot of digital payment frustration begins. Get a Ruto Card and reduce the payment friction🧡

Crypto can be useful, but it is not the same as a guaranteed savings account. Prices can rise or fall sharply, and you can lose money. Before buying any asset, understand what it does, what could go wrong, and whether you can afford the risk. What is one thing you wish you understood before your first crypto purchase?

You are in luck! Cos with @rutowallet, you don't need to through the stress of verifying vendors. You simply fund your card, and spend your crypto however you like. Get your Ruto Card in seconds at rutowallet.com
Almost got scammed on Bybit P2P by a vendor who failed to release my USDT after I made payment. Thankfully, I was able to recover my crypto after opening an appeal. 🙏🏽 I’m sharing this to warn my mutuals to be careful when trading P2P. Always verify your transactions, keep your payment evidence, and use Bybit’s official appeal process when something goes wrong. Please double-check vendors before trading. Stay safe out there.

I, apparently got drained!! Lost $4,500 to the Indian government. 💀 In the last 10 days, I’ve lost $4,500, all because I made a $1K P2P transaction through @binance . A few days ago, I sold $1K worth of USDT through Binance P2P. The buyer turned out to be a scammer, and because of that, the INR amount I received was frozen (put on lien). I understood everything up to that point, but then the same P2P amount was placed under a lien three times. Basically, my $1K was frozen 3 times in my same account under same UTR and it subsequently got multiple liens in my friends account too, whom I transferred a part of it. Making it a total of almost ₹4,50,000($4,500) whereas the p2p deal was 1lakh only. I contacted Indian @Cyberdost , but they had no clear explanation for this. I even transferred some of that money to my second bank account, and that account was also placed under a lien. I genuinely don’t understand what kind of mathematics the Indian government is using. I also have legal proof of the $1K earn amount and P2P transaction. In India, Binance P2P is one of the ways people use to trade USDT, yet this is what happens. Legally, only my $1K amount should have been frozen, but what can I do now. Absolutely, I’m living in the GOAT country. 🫡

Crypto Cards, What Happened? Over the past few hours, several @solana crypto card users have seen their USDC/USDT funds disappear. Among the services affected are @avici and @useTria , both of which have already announced that affected users will be reimbursed. But where did the issue come from? The exploit did not directly affect users’ wallets, but rather the underlying card infrastructure. Several providers rely on @raincards , which identified a vulnerability in an older version of its smart contracts on Solana. 1,685 users were affected, with approximately $600,000 stolen. This incident highlights an important distinction: you can have a perfectly secure self-custodial wallet, but once you move funds into the layer required to spend them through a card, your risk model changes as well. The cards we previously covered, @RedotPay and @KASTxyz , were not affected by the incident.

Same issue here 😕 I won a $3 voucher from a RedotPay event and tried to use it twice, but both payments failed. Even though the payments were declined, the voucher was marked as used. After that, I tried another payment and suddenly my account balance showed -$3. I asked for help in the Telegram community and contacted support, but instead of getting assistance, I was removed from the community. Now I have no voucher, no refund, and a negative balance. Still waiting for a proper explanation or solution from @RedotPay

For those used to selling through crypto P2P What’s the danger of receiving funds from a third party and not from the buyer’s real account? Or am I being too security-conscious?

We do it better at @Rutowallet! Fund crypto ⟶ Card ⟶ Spend🧡
Crypto has made it easier to hold digital value. But turning that value into something useful in everyday life can still be complicated. Imagine holding $2,000 in USDT and suddenly needing ₦1 million in your Nigerian bank account. You already have the value. Yet converting it to naira can mean finding a P2P buyer, comparing rates, waiting for payment, confirming the transaction, and moving the funds to your bank. That is a lot of friction for money you already own. And it raises a bigger question: What good is holding digital value if accessing it remains complicated? This is the problem @NasfamPay is working to address. Rather than focusing only on crypto trading, Nasfam Pay is bringing crypto transactions and everyday digital services closer to the naira. Let’s look at what it offers. 🧵🎥

What if I tell you that you can actually hold your Bitcoin physically?😎
"Bitcoin isn't real. You can't even hold it." Pull up your bank balance. That number isn't sitting in a vault. It's an entry in a database. Less than 10% of dollars exist as physical cash. The rest is digits on a screen, same as Bitcoin. The difference: a bank can freeze your digits, reverse them, or watch them lose value while a central bank prints more. Your Bitcoin entry can't be frozen, reversed, or diluted by anyone. Both are digital. Only one runs on rules nobody can change on you. Drop a question below. I read every reply.
