Austrian defense-tech startup GuardAero has demonstrated its APS1 active protection system engaging drones during live-fire testing.
The system is designed to detect and neutralize drones at close range. It uses a shotgun-based kinetic effector rather than a conventional machine gun.
GuardAero is based in Graz, Austria, and is developing APS1 in cooperation with the Austrian Ministry of Defence and the Austrian Armed Forces. The system is designed for integration into different military vehicle types.
Following the completion of core functional development, the company is focusing on vehicle integration, with the aim of bringing APS1 to market readiness by 2027.

A Russian FPV drone with what appears to be an effective camouflage job, blending in with its surroundings.
People may not believe it, but Ukraine only has 16-20,000 and Russia has double that number. You would think USD/Euro and democracy would bring more to Ukraine’s side, but that’s not the case.
According to Ukraine's Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, 45,959 foreigners have signed contracts with the Russian Armed Forces during the war.
By year:
2022: 94
2023: 4,067
2024: 8,877
2025: 16,085
The first 9 months of 2026: 16,168.
In 2026, 1,449 citizens of Colombia, 699 of Burundi, 530 of Zimbabwe, and 503 of Peru have signed contracts.
In total, the largest number of foreigners are from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Belarus, but recruitment is growing fastest in Africa and Latin America.

The composure and restraint of an experienced FPV drone operator.
Spotting enemy equipment, he didn’t act hastily. He took a brief pause to assess the situation more carefully.
Approaching the vehicle, the operator noticed the open rear ramp, behind which ammunition was loc.

Ukrainian company BlueBird Tech has introduced an updated version of its Chuyka drone detector, designated Chuyka 4.5.0, with expanded frequency coverage and a new external video output function.
The device scans four frequency bands: 1,080–2,200 MHz, 2,870–4,500 MHz, 4,890–6,040 MHz, and 6,050–8,800 MHz. According to the manufacturer, a full scanning cycle takes approximately 4–8 seconds.
A new feature allows intercepted analog video signals from FPV drones to be displayed on an external monitor or television, in addition to the device’s built-in display.
Chuyka 4.5.0 is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, providing up to 4.5 hours of operation. The device weighs 940 g (2.1 lb), and the manufacturer claims a detection range of up to 4 km (2.5 miles), depending on signal strength and operating conditions.

Lavrov: "They're saying that if Russia 'behaves well' toward Ukraine, then, among other things, sanctions will gradually be lifted and they will let us back into the G8. We don't need that."
Lavrov just now:
- Moscow is ready to reestablish relations with the West, but they are never going to be like pre-2022 again
- Russia is willing to make economic deals and will listen to what Witkoff and Kushner have to offer, but Russia will not make any political concessions for the sake of such deals
- The Russian government isn't expecting any "miracles" from the Trump admin, and one shouldn't rejoice too much about Trump waiving sanctions since the next President might simply introduce them anyway

Ukraine's HUR MO published footage from the drone attack on a valuable Russian 9K515 Tornado-S 300mm multiple rocket launcher (MRL).
The Tornado-S is a deep modernization of the Soviet-era BM-30 Smerch system, capable of firing guided munitions at a distance of up to 120 kilometers.
This is only the second confirmed loss of a Russian 9A54 combat vehicle from the 9K515 Tornado-S complex during the Russia-Ukraine war.

Imagine a battlefield covered with sensors that detect the enemy even when drones cannot fly.
Fog, heavy rain and electronic warfare create blind spots. A “smart skin of the ground” is a distributed network of acoustic and seismic sensors, mini-radars and ground robots could help turn the terrain itself into a continuous sensor network.
In an in-depth interview with @Oboronka1, Brave1 explores how these technologies can work together to improve battlefield awareness.

Interesting variants of the Ukrainian FP-1 and FP-2 one-way attack drones have appeared in footage released by operators of the Russian Rubicon Center’s interceptor drones.
In addition to what appears to be a Pitot tube, which has occasionally been observed on these drones, some variants are equipped with a new circular antenna.
The footage also shows the interception of an FP-2 fitted with launch pods for S-5 57 mm (2.24 in) unguided rockets.

According to updated information, the target of the Ukrainian long-range drone attack on Michurinsk, Tambov Oblast, is the Nikolskoye Linear Production and Dispatch Station, not the "Progress" Plant.
The Nikolskoye LPDS is a critical oil pumping station responsible for storing, blending, and pumping various oil products along different routes of the Druzhba pipeline network. A large fire is currently burning at the facility.
The Michurinsk Plant "Progress" in Tambov Oblast is reportedly under attack from Ukrainian long-range drones, resulting in a large fires breaking out.
The plant produces various types of high-tech equipment for control systems for aviation and missile technology, as well as a wide range of electrical equipment.
