It is amazing that National Supported Internship Day has been recognised within this debate in government, recognising the hard work and achievements of each individual partner’s commitment to light up the country.

It fills me with warmth showing an intern’s parent around @DerbyUni about the Supported Internship pilot.
Hearing how the programme has led to her son’s employment in catering is why we provide young people with disabilities meaningful work experiences.

As it's comes to the end of the year, I wanted to say a big thank you to all our ambassadors who've worked hard all year to make sure students are informed about their future. Without our amazing ambassadors, we wouldn't be able to do our work! #DerbyOutreach #WideningAccessDerby
A very different meeting with the Associate Provost (Learning & Teaching) @NeilFowler23 and CoSE Deputy Dean @DocWithTheSocs this lunchtime. The annual @TeamDerby 5km Santa Run was a lot of fun 🏃♂️ 🎅, well done to all who organised it and all those who took part #derbyuni

Reflecting on an important day for everyone that continues to be involved in #LongCovid advocacy and research.
I was (un)fortunate to be in the room to hear #BorisJohnson at the @covidinquiryuk and visit Downing Street to deliver a letter asking for recognition & funding for LC!
I thoroughly enjoyed helping to facilitate the first stage of the 2024/25 @DerbyCC Youth Mayor and Deputy Youth Mayor elections. 14 amazing young people from across the City's schools showcased a very bright future for Derby.

This a call to action to businesses.
What are you doing to support the transition of young people with special educational needs and disabilities into employment?
Supported Internships are evidence based programmes that bridge the gap between education and employment for SEND
One week on since the @DerbyUni Novemeber #DerbyGrad ceremonies. I love these days. I love seeing so many students graduate, celebrate with those close to them and each other. I love the people I get to work with. These are the days that matter. – at Derby, England

A fantastic example of broadening and deepening interpersonal relationships within a Supported a Internship.
The work community is more than work itself, it’s an important arena to form social relationships in a public, mainstream environment.

I thoroughly enjoyed working on today's @DerbyUni open day. So many people had travelled so far to come and meet our outstanding academics and facilities. Also loved being on two panels today with @baasitsiddiqui and working with great colleagues from across the Uni. #derbyuni
Wonderful fish & chips evening with the @MultiFaithDerby, ably organised by @AnishaJohal, @AmeliaABevans and MFC staff to continue the #derbywelcome of new international students here @DerbyUni
