The Greens didn’t triple their vote in Holborn & St Pancras, they merely took Andrew Feinstein’s votes from 2024. There was no real Green bounce whatsoever.

Brutal op-ed from a former Zack Polanski ally who calls on him to resign - “This conference was a monument to his political timidity” - "I can’t respect someone who runs away" - "He lacked courage" - "Zack Polanski is my friend, but he is also a coward" huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/z…

Looking at which parties voters trust on the issues: In our 15 July poll, Labour led on 7/16 issues The Conservatives led on the economy, defence and culture, and the Greens on the environment and climate change. Reform led on 5 issues. Today, Labour lead on 15/16 🧵 1/2

Phone theft in London is at its lowest level in four years. Record City Hall funding for the Met is helping drive more arrests and recover stolen phones. The police are catching thieves, dismantling criminal networks and helping make our streets safer. lbc.co.uk/article/phone-thie…

OFFICIAL: Last night Lambeth Council confirmed the Lambeth Green Party misled residents about library cuts and asked them to apologise. Today, absolute silence. When are the Lambeth Green Party going to be honest with residents about their decision to cut libraries?

The comments, the comments. I said yesterday that passing the motion would be existential for the Party and Polanski. Electors must reject the Green Party at the ballot box, they have a duty to do so.
We're into the final 100 hours of the campaign for Holborn & St Pancras! Every leaflet & conversation can make the difference between Greens narrowly missing out or electing our 6th Green MP. Any time before Thurs you can help can make the difference. linktr.ee/HSP_6thGreenMP

The European Greens have taken the unusual step of criticising the UK Green Party. Put simply today’s motion calls the vast majority of British Jews racist, not for their views on Israeli policy, but thinking there should be an Israel. The Green “leader” has said nothing on this.
NEW: The European Green Party says it’s concerned about the Zionism is racism motion and they will be “seeking talks” with the GPEW. They say it doesn’t align with their values and they have previously reached out to express their objections. Ciaran Cuffe, co-chair of the European Green Party, says: “The European Green Party (EGP) notes with concern the ‘Zionism is Racism’ motion voted on today by the Green Party of England and Wales (GPEW) Congress, albeit by less than 1% of party members. EGP had already reached out to GPEW in recent weeks to share its deep concern, as this motion is not aligned with agreed EGP positions. “The EGP has always been in favour of a two-state solution, with self-determination for both Palestinians and Israelis. GPEW has contributed to forming this position throughout the years. The fight against antisemitism and for human rights is an essential part of our political agenda.” It notes the EGP has “consistently called for EU sanctions against the Israeli government” and condemned “human rights abuses perpetrated by the Netanyahu government against Palestinians”. It ends: “We are pleased to see that much of the Parliamentary Group and GPEW leadership voted against this motion. “We will be seeking a discussion with the GPEW leadership and Parliamentary Group in order to understand whether this motion will become the official GPEW policy, and how the party now positions itself on the self-determination of Israelis and Jewish people, and the protection of Jewish members of the party.”

90 years ago today, Oswald Mosley and his Blackshirts attempted to march through and intimidate a predominantly Jewish area of the East End. Men, women and children, alongside local residents, trade unionists and anti-fascist protesters, came together to defend the community in what became known as the Battle of Cable Street. They taught us an important lesson: communities can resist fascism by joining together. Hate and antisemitism had no place in London then, and it has no place here now.
