Cool shot my camera caught from the emitter lining up at just the right angle. No photoshop

Almost a 1000 photos have been added to the site of modern SOBR/OMON training thanks to Spetsnaz-Pro allowing us to use their images. There's some really cool stuff on there and all organized by year and unit. Check it out. vintorez.com/events/155

Kinda farb but here's a SOBR Halzan inspired kit I did a few years back. The VSSM still looks sweet.

I reached out and Vintorez now has permission to host photos from Lazarev and Spetsnaz-Pro.

Cool reference of Orekh Alpha-M vest in use. Refs of this vest are pretty scarce.

Here's another cool photo of an operator from Group "S" (Sigma) of the Federal Border Service of Russia. Here he can be seen wearing a 6B6-3 but it's somewhat different from other ones. This example uses a rubber visor trim around the glass similar to an Altyn. Check out that same style of helmet on Vintorez

I’ve rebuilt a huge part of Vintorez over the last few weeks. New homepage, equipment/manufacturer archive, community, activity feed, marketplace, mobile layouts, and a lot of smaller UI changes. Here’s a look at what changed ↓

Ever looked at a photo like this and wondered what the hell they're wearing? That's what I'm building with Vintorez. Check out photographs of Russian & Soviet military equipment and references, with the gear identified and linked into an archive of equipment, variants, units and conflicts. vintorez.com

New edition on Vintorez to Reference albums. On the screen is an equipment drawer when you open an album. Here it will show you all the equipment seen in the entire album.

Early 00s FSB kit using a weird Vympel Mabuta suit. The same suit is seen in use with Putin's guards at this time period. The veil is attached to the collar and can be rolled up when not in use.

MVD Vityaz guarding a road to Grozny in May 2000.

To help us with the huge amount of Equipment ID requests I made it so the community can help approve IDs as well. It takes 3 confirmations to approve an ID from the community. The admins and mods will still approve these when we can but this should help our backlog of IDs a bit. If an ID is wrong you can dispute it and link the correct ID that something is in the catelog as well.

Dagestan, 2014. FSB and Dagestan MVD hit a house in Zakhit at 4am. Nine people already out, including kids. You can see the RPO on his back, the GM-94 being fired from the tree, and the thermobaric going off later in the clip. GM-94 refs: vintorez.com/weapon-items/13… Credit: Aleksei Steinbukh
