1 EGLD now swaps into less than 1 NEAR and 0.002 ZEC last year i swapped all my $EGLD for $NEAR and $ZEC at that time, I got an average of ~6.00 NEAR/egld ~0.330 ZEC/egld the context: massive holder dilution events in multiversx, together with lies, deception, and even personal attacks--by the Mincus brothers, DBCrypt0, and a few other toxic community members who used to praise my contributions to the ecosystem--the very moment i started raising concerns and asking some questions publicly (after a several failed attempts of resolving these points privately) so, while EGLD was removing the fixed supply cap and proposing to increase the token's inflation to ~8-9%, NEAR was doing the very opposite -- proposing reducing the annual tail emission, which happened in October 2025 (2.5% to 5%) i said that and other things were a huge mistake i was blocked, attacked, and even had my job hunted for that swapping was a very obvious play for me and i posted consistently about it (egld cult hated it) ZEC had also just been added to NEAR Intents and momentum was picking up for both projects, with great tech and economic developments a few months later (pre-quoted post, Dec 2025) 1 EGLD would get ~4.26 NEAR/egld ~0.014 ZEC/egld in May 2026, the same 1 EGLD would've given me ~1.80 NEAR/egld ~0.006 ZEC/egld today (Oct 2026), it's a 1:1 trade for NEAR and ~0.002 ZEC/egld fun fact: when i started swapping it all, i was underwater (USD-wise) in my EGLD position, but i still knew it was the right move and time has been proving it as such the lesson is that it's never too late to make the right decision and act on it EGLD is just one unfortunate example of how it's important to follow the projects you use closely and be aware of red flags and significant pivots to make informed decisions (and don't trust people blindly) also learn when to fold a losing hand to then play a winning hand i know a few folks who will hate this post, but i still think it can be useful for a few others willing to apply some critical thinking or reviewing past decisions to learn and improve things are what they are... ((i've been waiting for the 1:1 moment for quite some time--sorry not sorry--i'm also happy that i was able to help many others to see the same thing i saw and act on it as well))
