Why do we list very old PR’s of elite runners? Des’ 2:22 is from 2011. She’s not running 2:22 again (which is fine) so her PR listed on here is irrelevant.
Is sub 2:20 in the cards this weekend? 👀💥
🚨A sub 2:20 would spell an American Top 5 All-Time, and some of the women in this field are certainly knocking on the door. Will we see history this Sunday?!

The international athlete pipeline for the NCAA is so wild. How does the NCAA think this is a good thing?
I said that if I ran into Craig Engels yesterday and that if he did not make the final, I would buy him a beer. Well…
I think I went back in time. I’m in @FlyKnoxville airport and the food options are @Quiznos and @rubytuesday. Are these the last remaining relics of the past?
"The vial said "test" so I thought this was the doping test I had to inject."
"The Athlete explained that she self-administered a vial labelled “testosterone” in an injection approximately two weeks prior to the Event. She further explained that she did not ask any questions about what she had ingested, did not pay for the vial or the syringe that she had used to self-administer the injection, and was unaware that testosterone was a Prohibited Substance."
The fueling strategies of the elite runners is very intriguing. Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter to the average or even “fast”runner who can’t have special aide stations with carbs via bottles during a marathon.
I don't see how this can stand a case when all the other Puma sprinters are doing well. Seems like a money grab.
Abby Steiner 🇺🇸 is suing Puma, alleging that their racing shoes were defective and caused her injuries!
Steiner has suffered from chronic, severe foot and ankle injuries, including Haglund’s deformity (enlarged bumps on the back of the heels) and subsequent Achilles issues. She has had multiple surgeries.
According to the complaint, Puma along with Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd. were aware that the shoe designs and their carbon plate (CFP) and nitrogen foam (NF) technology could lead to bone stress injuries, increased risk of foot damage, and abnormal strain on runners’ feet.
The lawsuit claims the shoes were unsafe for normal, expected use despite this knowledge.
And now we find out Wednesday if the race is still on. 🫠
Always have to at the subjective truth “for me” as though the statement “skinny is better than fat” is not universally true.
The worst part of being at a vet appointment is hearing all the terrible names people give their pets.
Flotrack putting the Diamond League behind a paywall is one of the absolute worst things to have happened with professional Track and Field.
I’ve been waiting since Friday for the @theallinpod to release a new episode. Don’t make me wait any longer! @Jason @chamath @friedberg
