🚨Live2D has been cracked🚨
Recently, a tool has been circulating within the Chinese Live2D community that can reverse-engineer Live2D .moc3 files back into .cmo3 files.
It can take Live2D works that were originally meant only for display, not editing, and reconstruct their original hierarchy and deformation structures. Based on my preliminary tracing, the earliest publication I have found dates back to Bilibili in April this year, after which the tool appears to have been gradually refined within the Live2DHub community.
This means that digital assets published online by Live2D riggers may no longer be safe.
Artists may not be safe either, because .psd files can potentially be reconstructed and exported from the recovered .cmo3 files.
Someone with malicious intent could use this tool to reverse-engineer your Live2D work, analyze it, reproduce it, and republish it.
For example, they could replace the textures in your Live2D model with their own character, then republish or even sell it while claiming they made it themselves.
And infringements like this may become extremely difficult to prove, because there is already considerable legal ambiguity around how much protection applies to things such as topology, vertex placement, polygon structure, and rigging methods.
Or, if you have some private technique or implementation method that you have deliberately kept secret, they could simply reverse-engineer your work and take a look inside.
Live2D may no longer have any secrets.
So if you are selling works on a platform whose implementation methods you do not want made public, or template-based assets designed for repeated production, I would seriously consider taking them down—or at the very least, making it explicitly clear to your clients whether your terms of use prohibit reverse-engineering, cracking, reconstruction, and reproduction of the work.

To be honest, for the past year, I’ve been worrying about AI replacing humans.

All of this an A-I Bros will still have no idea how to make good content, and in 2 years time the AI will eat itself because its run out of actually models to scrape and will start cannibalizing's its own self.
Shits funny every time these people claim its the downfall of artists all they manage to do is appease other people who make slop, and because they can make there own slop they never see a dime for there own hard work.
Enjoy all of your hard work being canibalized and other Bros releasing your software for money and claiming it as there own while you can do nothing about it.

I have not seen the new Resident Evil film yet. I will be watching it at some point though.
That said I am gonna try to go in with the mentality that I'm watching just another horror movie not a resident evil film. I do not believe the film will deliver on being resident evil even a little bit. But im hoping it will be a good horror film.
Love him or hate him Zack Cregger makes some banger horror films. So hopefully the soul of that wasnt sacrificed trying to srtap the resident evil IP to this film.

Merch companies cannot and should not make merch using those copyrighted elements.
FF14 has a very limited in scope fan merch policy. As soon as it goes from being fan merch of the game to being merch of your vtuber its steps outside of the realm of that merch policy.

The amount of people Giving Nevra hate for talking to their son on discord is so fucking wild to me.
Nevra is an insanely good mother, and super close with her son. I've seen her go so far above and beyond as a mother and I'm insanely proud of her.
There is nothing cringe or weird about her talking to her son over discord. Go touch grass you fucking terminally online weirdos.
