Gabriela DeBues-Stafford stormed to victory at the Jarrow 10K in 31:37.8, taking 6.2 seconds off the Canadian women’s road 10K record of 31:44, set by Lynn Williams (later known as Lynn Kanuka) in 1989, and also smashed the Jarrow course record by more than two minutes.
