#CovidIsNotOver This is my 15th semester teaching RN and NP students about Covid 19 pathophysiology. Not a lot has changed except for how much damage we now know the virus causes. It still baffles me that people don’t know it’s airborne, don’t know the risks. 1

And that’s a wrap on my 17-event 2024 wedding season for VCV Entertainment. A summary of what my experience has been as a Covid aware wedding and event DJ using #faruvc, air purifiers, and being the only one wearing a mask in every room I perform in. A 🧵: (1)

#SaltingTheVibe Swedish wedding style! 🥂 I know too much about this virus not to. It’s not just my own health; I cannot have on my conscience that I might have caused someone else long-term harm or even death. #YallStillMasking #CovidIsNotOver #COVIDisAirborne

“I am a children librarian. If I get sick, I can’t be in the library for the children. I don’t want to get sick or get anyone sick.” Over Anna’s KN95 is a beaded cover she made for herself. Super cool, isn’t it? 📸 @MsJulieSLam #MaskTogetherAmerica @NY_Comic_Con

My top teacher productivity / organisation hack is to make sure that I don't ignore big, important problems like an ongoing pandemic.

The idea of hybrid immunity is simple. We’re going to make you all sick, repeatedly, so that you then won’t be sick any more. A more stupid and criminally disgusting abdication of human reason and basic care has probably never existed. /6

During check-in at @Delta, a ground crew warned me about the sip valve. I haven’t flown with Delta for a couple of years because l was asked to remove my elastomeric masks that looked ‘valved’ to some flight attendants in the past. Well, I boarded without any issues today.

I agree entirely with this. I lost a good friend back in 2009 to oral cancer and I absolutely assure you it's a horrendous disease. If he'd gone to the dentist for a regular check up he almost certainly would be alive today.
I'm a physician with #LongCovid. Here's two cents. Please go to the dentist. The risk of missing an oral infection/cancer outweighs most anything else. If you haven't seen endocarditis, or jaw necrosis, much less catastrophic facial pain from tooth decay, don't argue with me.

i will never understand how alleged leftists in the so-called west can wear a kaffiyeh to SHOW solidarity with palestinians, but not a fuckin’ respirator mask to BE in solidarity with immunocompromised & disabled folks, elders, & others trying to survive covid in their community.

Over the course of the story (or movie, or game) the main characters struggle, and learn. It's how we, the audience, find out what they are made of. My son wears this coat. He wears a mask to protect himself and others. That's what main characters do. #MainCharacterEnergy

We need to learn about Covid. We need to know what it's doing to our insides I don't want to learn about strokes and heart attacks first hand! I don't want to learn about losing family members to the long term consequences of COVID.

She said there was little “appetite” for “COVID restrictions” That's because people haven't learned. If they had learned that Covid is serious - severe - they would want to use protections. We don't call them "restrictions". Covid increases the risk of stroke & heart attack.

On the radio today, the host said that she will wear a mask on a crowded train. She said that she would take the mask off if people left the train so it was no longer crowded. That tells us that she has not learned that Covid is airborne.

I teach. I wear a mask. This doesn’t make much sense to my colleagues, or my students. This is because they haven't learned about Covid. They don't know what it can do. Or maybe they do, but they don't feel comfortable talking about it.

We need to learn about Covid. My children wear masks in school. I've borrowed my son's coat for this photo. Someone in his class told him he has “main character energy". A🧵about learning. #MainCharacterEnergy
