It must be a gut-punch to have your WR broken when you’re in the race. Having it happen twice in the same meet is some incredible drama.
One of the bigger non-Hayward crowds I’ve seen at a track invite in the U.S. Props to the @sound_running team on a strong marketing effort, including months of IG ads in the LA area for months.
Poor Yomif Kejelcha: After years of playing bridesmaid on the track, he instantly become the John Landy of the ultimate marathon barrier.
Reaction to this has been strange...Chris has been clear that Citius isn't a Big J Journalism outlet—it's a platform for track fans. Getting paid by meets to distribute content is standard practice in the sport. Not judging whether that's right or wrong, just stating the reality.
Grand Slam's top creditors include several superstar runners and Citius Mag, to which it owes over $270,000

Gotta think LA 2028 will want to end the track program with Sydney in the 4x4…
Is it just me or does the #WorldAthleticsChamps ending with the 4x100s instead of the 4x400s feel….wrong?
In a sport of the tiniest of margins, the U.S. men’s 4x4 starting in lane 1 meant dealing with way bigger pools of water
Extra impressive considering he ran much of the last lap in lane 2

25.50 for Cole Hocker's final 200m.
38.61 for Cole Hocker's final 300m.
Mother Goose!

I thought Core Hocker was surely too far back in 12th place with a lap to go. But what resilience by the Olympic gold medalist!
Houlihan got stuck behind Andrews when the big move was made with 300 to go. That was the difference between her having a chance to compete for a medal and ultimately finishing 4th.
What a final lap in the women’s 5000m as Beatrice Chebet outduels Faith Kipyegon to complete the 5000m/10,000m double! 😲 #WorldAthleticsChamps
That slow pace was best case scenario for U.S. women. 4th and 6th places the best American finishes in women’s 5k in a long time.
Rain on shins wasn’t too much of an issue huh? @HouseofRun
2ND FASTEST OF ALL TIME ‼️
@GoSydGo storms to a championship record of 47.78, to win her first 400m global title 👑
That's the first time in 39 years that we see a sub-48 performance 🤯
