His mother, Dr. Khdiga Metwally, is on the ballot for Halton school board trustee in Milton, Ontario Wards 1 and 2.
Her campaign pledges "safe and welcoming" schools.
She doesn't mention him.
But she is on the record, saying this about him: “My son was arrested by all unfair reasons … [he was] manipulated by FBI with the help of [Royal Canadian Mounted Police],”
“They manipulated him by ‘hyper’ talking while he was manic and wasn’t under treatment,”
Voters will get to decide Oct 26.
They deserve to know who's asking for the job.

BC Conservatives are promising a $100/month raise to disability assistance, plus annual rate reviews, a higher earnings exemption (to $30,000 for singles), and an end to remaining spousal income reductions.
Maybe that’s why the NDP went after the Conservative candidate in Vancouver-Strathcona. That riding has some of the highest rates of poverty and people with disabilities in the province. They don’t want those people getting even an extra $100 a month. The NDP has been living off the status quo for years and doesn’t want that changed.
