One of today’s readings at Catholic Mass. “Give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s, and give unto God what is God’s. - Matthew 22:21 This means, as a Catholic, you should pay legitimate taxes to support the civil authority and common good. The latter is more important because it calls people to give themselves fully to God. In short, pay your taxes and be a Christian in all aspects of your life.
