What @realdaveumahi & his principal have organised in the so-called #LagsCalabarCoastalRoad is the biggest heist in #Nigerian history. They knew it from before the very 1st day. What we have are a bunch of petty rustlers in high office. Period!

Dear @ARISEtv, @OjyOkpe, @R_abati1990, @ruffydfire Since my name was mentioned in this clip, I have chosen to exercise a public #RightOfReply. I owe you that much. Let me be clear from the start: I will not back down on this issue of the casualisation of judicial standards by a confederacy of disclosed & traceable insider & political interests on all sides. Among my people, there is a name & a saying: "onyemaechi" (Who knows tomorrow)? I bet @R_abati1990 had not read Rule 12 of @njcnig's Judicial #CodeOfConduct before this session. I will encourage him to acquaint himself with it, pls. It is tragic when people who should know better venture into the enterprise of banalising serious issues at the heart of the justice system & its integrity. Yet, we are the first to complain about insecurity & we seem blissfully unaware of the inherent logics of #CauseAndEffect. But I guess it is the judges who have created this mess. And folks think we must be automatonscat the mercy of untheorised & self-serving rulings. I refuse. This is the same country in which Zainab Bulkachuwa - then serving as president of @NGCourtofAppeal in 2019 - thought it was alright for her to preside over the presidential election petition when her husband had just been elected a senator on the ticket of the party whose victory was at issue in the petition. At least one of her sons so ran on the ticket of the party in the same election. Mind you, @SupremeCourtNg had ruled in 2007 that it is parties, not candidates, who run for office in #Nigeria. Yet, Justices of Appeal under her turned in a ruling that said it was kosher for her to do so. In the end public opinion forced her off the panel but at the price of exorbitantly corrosive jurisprudence. Contrary to the claim by @R_abati1990 in this outing, it does not need an imputation on the judge for him or her to be recused. The standard is not actual or active lack of impartiality. It is appearance of lack of impartiality. Let me explain. Lord Hewart said as much in R v. Sussex Justices, ex parte McCarthy (1924) that "the answer to that question depends not upon what actually was done but upon what might appear to be done." That was why he laid down the standard that justice must not only be done but must be "manifestly & undoubtedly be seen to be done." That is the standard at both common law & under the Constitution. With profound respect, I regret to say that @R_abati1990 has misled the public as to the applicable standard & his claims about that are not particularly well founded. It is no accident, therefore, that he ended up in an entirely convenient destination with no guardrails in either principle or judicial ethics. But judicial decision-making is not dance-music nor situational ethics like he suggests. It is a bounded enterprise constrained by easily ascertained rules. That was why I cited the case of Justice Anthony Aniagolu in 1983. His son is one of your colleagues, @charlesaniagolu. The fact that one has to even argue that Sylvanus Oriji cannot preside over this case is itself the problem. I spare you all the details of his relationships with the Wikes but if I am required to I will. This should be a scandal ordinarily. But we seem to have lost every sense of indignation. Privately, I must say, several senior judges have told me they are scandalized. For the sake of the judiciary, the Chief Justice knows what to do. To my brother, @R_abati1990, we can continue to pretend about these casualisations until we are at the receiving end. All you need do is look at what is happening to a former governor of Kaduna State at the moment & you see the point. Today, we may feel unaffected. Tomorrow may be different. To my brother, @R_abati1990, I say: "onyemaechi"?!
Wike's Son Denies $2.1M Abuja Land Fraud Claim FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's son Jordan is at the centre of a legal storm after claimants told an FCT High Court that he agreed to facilitate the acquisition of sixty hectares of land in Abuja for a fee of $2.1 million with $2 million allegedly for his father the FCT Minister and $100,000 for himself. The claimants allege that after Jordan received the cash in London and he neither delivered the land nor returned the money. Jordan has denied everything telling the court that his signature on the document was forged saying that he has never met the claimants and was outside Nigeria on the date in question. My day has been disrupted. We cannot continue to excuse and ignore the irresponsibility and crass impunity of @flyairpeace in this country. Mr Allen Onyema possibly believes that because he has the largest fleet of aircraft, and his company occasionally intervenes in the repatriation of stranded Nigerians aboard, that gives him the latitude to take passengers for granted endlessly. I am scheduled to appear in court in Enugu State this morning for a case that is slated for definite hearing. I woke up by 4:30 AM and got to MM1 at about 5:50AM hoping to join the 6:45 AM flight with Air Peace. I already checked in last night. I became suspicious when Air Peace called for only passengers who were supposed to fly to Enugu and Owerri yesterday, while passengers scheduled to depart today were asked to wait. Apparently, they cancelled yesterday’s flight to Enugu. Air Peace kept us on the line for about an hour before their staff came and casually told us that the flight has been delayed till 4:50 PM. At 2:01 AM today, Air Peace sent a second reminder to passengers, despite knowing that the flight was not going to depart as scheduled. It is sickening that this airline has persisted in its poor service delivery despite routine complaints by passengers. The regulators of the aviation industry are complicit in the impunity of Air Peace. The Minister of Aviation, @fkeyamo, has been doing PR for this airline instead of holding them accountable. @NigeriaCAA and @FAAN_Official have demonstrated that they’re incapable of tackling the arrogance of this airline. My client’s fate is now uncertain because of the irresponsibility of Air Peace. I met two learned colleagues who were equally billed to travel on the same flight. One of them also has a hearing this morning in Enugu. Unfortunately , the two other airlines that fly to Enugu from Lagos (United Nigeria and Enugu Air) only have afternoon flights today. I lost sound sleep, wasted my resources on flights and taxis (by the way, I already booked my return flight with United Nigeria slated for 3:20 PM today), and I am going to miss a sensitive court appearance. Official data published few ago by NCAA revealed that Air Peace delayed 71% of its flights in August 2026. According to NCAA, Air Peace recorded 1,330 delays out of 1,864 flights, representing about 71 percent. No sanctions were imposed. No country that is serious about economic development will condone such ineptitude.

This actually falls quite short. The university can only confirm the authenticity of their own records & documents as well as the integrity of their processes. That appears to have been accomplished here. But @Unn_Nigeria did not issue @PeterObi's high school certificate. If @PremiumTimesng wanted to confirm that as authentic, they should have gone to his high school, @ckc_onitsha; &/or to @waecnigeria. The story does not say that they did. They shd just have admitted that. They had no evidentiary basis for the latter sentence because it was not covered by their inquiry.
We all know what we are doing. That’s why I like CNN and Fox. Dem no dey follow corner corner. “His university certificate is authentic however we have not been able to establish whether his GCE result is genuine.” Premium Times no dey follow corner corner.
