When playing NZ, the Wallabies are bad golfers. A lack of confidence leads them to think they can't chip out and get up and down. Instead they're trying to hit three woods off a shit lie through the trees. Leads to a spiral down and a blown out score card. Pros don't do that.
The last two performances weren’t good enough, but perspective matters. We rank 2nd in win rate v NZL behind the boks. The reason it feels worse? We play the All Blacks far more than anyone else. England have played them 47 times ever. We’ve played them that much since 2010!

Anyone able to verify the 59 minutes ball in play stat from the Bledisloe? Seen it floating around but nothing too authoritative yet.
Wallabies currently sitting on 5 wins from ten tests this year. They have four more to go (ENG, SCO, WAL, TBC) If they win two of those it will be the 1st time in a non RWC year they’ve won more than they’ve lost in a season since 2017.

I’ve had some time to process so first congrats to RA & all involved in the initiative around a heap of high quality rugby product this last couple of days. Friday night international 7s at Easts then a quadruple header was brilliant. Bravo.
I’ve spoken about the Wallaroos so..
And despite the frustration and despair there is so much to be positive about - Wilson, Ikitau, Bell and Jorgensen are world class players. Pritchard, Mackay, Uys, Harvey, Taumoepeau and Langi are exciting young talents coming through. Generational talents perhaps.
