They give the impression the decision is the Irish government’s and that the consultation will shape the government approach. But the real determinant is obviously the trade relationship with the UK. 🚨The HSE has a list of groups on its website who should stay away from Folic Acid including cancer sufferers, people with heart stents, etc. 🚨Folic Acid in men is associated with a 200% rise in prostate cancer. Therefore, mass medicating by fortifying flour with folic acid will lead to catastrophic health outcomes as there’s no control over dosage and sensitive groups are ignored.
