In folklore, fairies are not always benign; some are mischievous or outright malevolent. Dark fairies are a fascinating segment of fairy lore 🖤 Described with darker, more eerie features than their lighter counterparts. They mss may have dark wings, or wear dark, tattered clothing. Typically associated with dark, secluded places like forests at night, caves, or ruins. They symbolize the darker aspects of nature or human psychology, like fear, the unknown, the untamed wild. Caution around dark fairies is advised ! They can appear kindly towards humans but there is a common theme of trickery & leading people astray. Humans might be lured into deals with dark fairies, where the terms are not usually in the human's favour. #FolkloreFriday
