Today, we are highlighting Ms. Ruby Duncan, an advocate for thousands of children. She founded the Operation Life Community Development Corporation in 1972, which was the first federally funded community development corporation in America. It was organized, controlled, and operated by low-income women. Ms. Duncan is credited with leading the fight for Nevada’s underfed children.
