betting on founders is still my #1 criterion for investments in crypto.
gigaverse and onchainheroes were the only two projects i invested in on abstract, for the sole reason that @0xDith and @Skarly are chads.
both projects probably faced the biggest headwinds building in gaming (dead narrative) and on a dead chain that's now shutting down.
despite all that, it was an easy hold for me. narratives come and go, but the founders stay the same.

I've been laying low spending quality time offline the past week as I headed off to travel right after the Awakening ended, so this is late, but I wanted to say it properly.
Grateful to finish #1. 😁
I really enjoyed this competition. The new fishing and the dungeon mechanics were a lot of fun, and playing them felt like a glimpse of whats to come in Gigaverse Online.

Even more cynical $177k scam from @LucaNetz and his buddy @willweinraub who played Donkey in Shrek.
Meet @Cryptoys. The project was actively pushed by Abstract team.
That same "Disney" they brought to Abstract - nothing more than a regular cash grab.
One mint cost $40. For minting you got a badge on Abstract. For 10 mints you got a secret super-useless badge.
$400. For a fucking badge.
When secondary opened, a successful scenario was considered locking in a -60% profit.
Question 1 - where did the mint money go?
How @LucaNetz pocketed $210K by scamming Abstract users.
This one’s for all the clowns still clinging to those worthless @pudgypenguins SBT badges.
A box cost $100 to mint. Burn it and you got some soulbound SBT on Abstract. Obviously that SBT is worth jack shit.
Totally not just another low-effort cash grab from a guy who treats his own community like walking ATMs.

Abstract set a dangerous precedent: an L2 can collect gas fees, make teams pay to build on its chain, incentivize users and builders with token expectations, then shut down without ever delivering a TGE.
They extracted value from an ecosystem they encouraged people to invest in, then left those same people holding the bag.
Base and RH are different, they never ran points campaigns tied to expected token rewards.
If Abstract gets away with this, every L2 gets a blueprint to exploit its community and walk away with zero accountability.

kinda crazy that it sold out within 30s or so
the funds generated from mint will be used to kickstart our various flywheels and make sure that [redacted] is in good shape and thick from day 1.
i genuinely think we have something pretty special/cool on our hands and can’t wait to share more. We’ve got some heavy hitters from the space helping advise the product and I’m very excited to see the economy kick off.
next steps will be to share more about the game, slowly teasing diff game mechanics, then into docs followed shortly by game launch.
