I have never met players so desperate to defend mtx in their game as RS3 Players. They just killed something off that would have made RS3 more approachable to outsiders and increased their player population count.
Jagex has cancelled RuneScape Reignited just days after announcing it.
Reignited was planned as a fresh-start version of RuneScape, giving players new characters, progression and economies.
Jagex has now backed down.
“It is clear that we missed the mark on this, and so we are not moving forward with it.”
He also said the goal is to grow RuneScape without hurting the existing community.
“Our goal is to see RuneScape grow again, with returning players coming back and new players joining, but never at the expense of our existing community.”
I spent so long in the closet about this that I thought it was normal but I'm tired of the societal expectation and I hope everyone can accept me for who I truly am and be honest with both myself and others from now on moving forward.
It's finally time I came out and just said it.
I like indie games.
Tom lied.
He said they weren't being banned and telling "white lies". Never forget this next time you wanna take one of these people's words verbatim.
Looks like some World of Warcraft: Forever beta bans are being reversed.
Blizzard has started restoring beta access for at least some players who were kicked out over character names.
In one case, Blizzard admitted that removing the whole account was the wrong call. The player’s account has now been restored, while the characters with inappropriate names have simply been flagged for a rename.
platform-enforced speech ToS always leads to a downward spiral of someone taking control and deciding what is and isn't acceptable based on their personal opinions.
So what if someone's childish, obnoxious or even offensive?
As far as I'm aware, opinions are not laws and people are allowed to do and say things you disagree with.
This will get worse over time. it always does.
Reminder to keep your character names in the Forever Beta respectful and within policy. Forced name changes are going into effect and users with the most extreme violations have been removed from the Beta.

Imagine crashing out over people having a little shit and a giggle over choosing and edgy name or saying something spicy in chat.
Holy shit these people need to stop treating what's supposed to be fun like it's a fucking office job.
Adults needing to be reminded to act like adults in a video game is embarrassing.
Huge props to Blizzard for not letting toxic, loser behavior fester.
Anyone who has been online for years understands that moderation is key to retaining the (positive) identity of any community. A lack of moderation ushers in uncritically insane people who take over and infest and then push every normal person out; in other words, the community that the game was made for dies.
I wholeheartedly support removing people who prove they cannot act like decent humans.
"Guys please come back. We promise to focus on Destiny this time."
Bungie's studio head and GM are acknowledging their mistakes, lost trust from the community, and sharing what they will do to regain it. In short, @MarathonTheGame is evolving after underperforming, and "We are not done with @DestinyTheGame". mmorpg.com/news/bungie-not-d…
Blizzard have once again killed my dream.
Blizzard - how dare you #Wowforever - we Shaman should be able to tank COMEON

I just want to set expectations for everyone planning to play World Of Warcraft Forever (just that you won't be able to change Realms).

Bunch of retards out there are about to throw a temper tantrum over this because in their heads AI was supposed to replace garbagemen and plumbers instead of them.
This game is entirely "vibe" coded.
I spent 6 months using AI to replace Unreal Engine from under our game Em-8ER.
Now we're developing 93x faster than we ever did before with Unreal. Because our engine is developed to be 100% AI first instead of tacked on.
It is not a toy one shotted overnight, it is a production ready engine.
I made a big bet that this was the future and now I'm very confident it is. You don't need to license an expensive game engine anymore.
Today's update features:
- Advanced character animation system
- World collision meshes
- AI assisted Blender anim exporter and workflow
- Character outfits and outfit swapping
- Physic driven character effects
- Fully networked client/server player capsules
- Pilotable vehicles
- Waifus
The engine is called Kun-Zhi, the Tibetan word for "Ground of all" that the world springs from.
This engine will be released to the public, starting with backers first.
Today we're opening up to public backers again after a quiet building period where they were closed. If you would like to support our engine work and get the game, you can subscribe as a patron, or purchase a game backer pack on sale at 50% here: my.em8er.com/perks
Corporate sponsorships are available. Send a DM. Current partners include Razer and AMD.

Ranking is tracking volume instead of quality. Oh how standards have fallen.
People are now competing to see who can be the most racist in Counter-Strike 2 to climb in ranking
A new third-party “Slur Tracker” records offensive language used in CS2 chat and puts players on public leaderboards.
People instead of trying to avoid the rankings, some players are apparently spamming slurs on purpose just to climb higher.
The numbers have gotten ridiculous too. One leaderboard needed 976 recorded uses just to break into the top 25, Billypastaking is still leading
