I work for a NHS Ambulance trust. I deal with very few illegal migrants, but I do deal a lot with legal migrants who have trained as nursing staff and DR's, and who provide brilliant care in NHS hospitals. They do more for a person in 30mins than MP's do in a life time.

It was meant to be moment to try to regain momentum after a bruising few months, but instead it’s a conference in crisis as two senior officials stand down & Reform launches a investigation following @Channel4News probe into donations
The Reform UK conference has begun today, as the party denies wrongdoing over allegations it breached political donation rules. Sky's @BethRigby reports:

PC Andrew Harper was a hero. He risked his life to keep us safe. The 28-year-old lost it in the line of duty after being dragged behind a car for more than a mile. His injuries were so catastrophic a colleague at the scene couldn’t recognise him. His new bride became a widow within a month of their wedding. Now two of the men responsible for PC Harper’s death (seen here) are set to walk free at the halfway point of their sentences. Harper’s Law already exists. It was passed in Andrew’s name to ensure those who kill emergency workers face tougher sentences. But it doesn’t apply retrospectively. If the law named after Andrew Harper can’t prevent the men responsible for his death being released this early, what was it for? Read the room, prime minister.

NEW: Special Counsel Jack Smith has asked a judge to dismiss the federal election interference case against Donald Trump. This is because the Justice Dept's policy prohibits the prosecution of a sitting president.

Even if there were a general election tomorrow, I would happily vote Labour again.

Does anyone remember that @JeremyClarkson once said live on The One Show public sector workers protesting about austerity should be shot in front of their families?

Imagine if UK media gave as much airtime and outrage to the closures of libraries, youth clubs, community centres, playgrounds, swimming pools, fire stations - you know, society - as they do about the top 5% having to pay some more inheritance tax. #bbclaurak #trevorphillips

Isn’t Elon Musk the stereotype of a James Bond film villain? Mega rich, owning a fleet of spaceships, controlling the world’s largest social media propaganda network, working with sinister political forces…

King Charles charges this RNLI lifeboat station to launch its boat because he owns the beach. And they’re not the only charity he’s rinsing (Location: Sennen Cove, Cornwall)
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
£600 a year across 6 sites is a “peppercorn rent”: a small amount legally required to create a lease and therefore give rights to tenants. It is usually asked for by the tenant not the landlord, as tenants’ rights are worth far more than £100. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peppercor…

Ok some people aren’t gonna like this but… Right, I don’t understand how we fought in WWII to stop Jews being persecuted. We even created the ECHR to stand against persecution, against oppression, against dehumanisation… so we never had a war like that again. Yet Israel is doing to others what was done to them, BUT this time no one’s stepping in to save the Palestinians. Just because Jews were persecuted doesn’t give them the right to do it to someone else. And Israel’s using exactly the same dehumanising language Nazi’s used against them but somehow it’s ok. Like what? You know one day people will look back and be horrified that the world let this happen. How do we justify thousands of children being killed? We can’t, yet we do nothing. Clearly we didn’t learn from WWII because what are doing? FUCK I HATE THIS WORLD SOMETIMES.

I really don't expect so much support. But, please if there's anyone outside the biased media, who thinks Keir Starmer is a kind of pretty good Prime Minister, please repost
