The Trump administration is claiming that papers created in the White House belong to Donald Trump, not to the American people. That's simply false. We're defending Americans' right to transparency in court. npr.org/2026/10/16/nx-s1-599…

BREAKING: HELL YES! Texas gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa sues Greg Abbott to obtain the "embarrassing" and "intimate" emails sent between his office and Elon Musk's minions. We cannot wait to read these in full... "Nobody here is accusing Greg Abbott of having a torrid love affair with Elon Musk,” Rep. Hinojosa said. "What this is about is we have the world’s only trillionaire getting massive tax breaks from this governor after giving him over $500,000 in campaign contributions." The lawsuit seeks to obtain over a thousand pages of communication which — given what we know about Musk's underhanded methods and blatant favor-buying through donations — could be extremely damaging to Abbott and the Republican Party's already-toxic brand. Numerous Musk companies are based in Texas, including SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla, X, and xAI. He donated $500,000 to Abbott's campaign and $250,000 to Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows. At the same time, Musk has received billions in tax incentives and tens of millions in grants. From the outside looking in, it certainly looks like quid pro quo. If there's nothing untoward in these emails, why won't Abbott just release them? The Texas Newsroom filed a public records request to obtain the documents in 2025, but Abbott's office objected to the release and remarkably corrupt Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sustained the objections, with an order to release some of the materials. They were heavily redacted. “The people of Texas and the people of House District 49 are concerned over the growing power of tech giants in Texas regarding our tax dollars, resources, and data,” Hinojosa wrote in a letter to Abbott in September, asking to review the redacted information. “In light of the expanding influence of tech CEOs in Texas and the close working relationship between government and the corporate tech industry, transparency is essential for accountability, which is why I’m writing.” In her new lawsuit, Hinojosa revealed that Abbott rejected her request. Now, she's escalating the fight. Please ❤️ and share to demand that the files be released!

The Justice department that is supposed to be committed to letting 100 guilty people go free rather than convicting one innocent man is willing to take away citizens’ right to vote because they’re too lazy to check their work and make sure it’s right
WOW. Trump’s #2 at DOJ just admitted this: “There may be some names on there who it turns out ultimately are citizens. We’re not perfect.”

These attacks by the president on federal judges are unacceptable. Republicans should demand that they stop. And voters have a voice in this too—reject candidates who condone threatening the judiciary.
NEWS A preservation group just alerted Judge Reyes that Trump just attacked her on social media right before today's hearing in the East Potomac Golf Course case. Context: Judge Reyes received death threats last year after ruling against Trump. Background buff.ly/3eV0JHT

Now that @AbdulElSayed has been asked to disavow the Muslim Brotherhood because of his mother’s alleged ties to the Muslim Brotherhood before he was born, will we be asking Donald Trump to disavow the Ku Klux Klan because of his father’s alleged ties to the KKK in the 1920s? washingtonpost.com/history/2…

🇺🇦 Zelenskyy delivers a blunt message to the United States: “Just give us Starlink back. If you refuse, Ukraine will survive. We will continue defending ourselves with or without it. But why would you restrict a country fighting for its survival? Why make it harder for us to defend our people? I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind this decision. It is a mistake.” Ukraine isn’t asking America to fight its war. It’s asking America not to stand in the way of its defense.

Three weeks before Election Day, Trump’s DOJ is trying to stop California from counting ballots based on unproven claims about noncitizen voters. Is the real goal to win in court—or to lay the groundwork for claiming another stolen election? My analysis: joycevance.substack.com/p/do…

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Nikki Haley: “There are certain decisions that will go down as history-defining moments. This is one of them. It's a terrible misjudgment of Putin, who has made it clear he wants to destroy the West. We shouldn't help him do it.” Mitt Romney: “Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.” Thom Tillis: “Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin.” Laura Loomer: “Putin’s goal is to take Ukraine. Then he will take Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and he will make his way through all of Europe. People obsess over personalities too much. You could have an election in Ukraine tomorrow and Putin would still find a reason to be at war. Russia INVADED Ukraine. Not the other way around. Zelenskyy’s removal from office won’t stop Russian imperialism. It’s not about Zelenskyy. It’s about Putin. It’s always been about Putin.” John Cornyn: “Helping Putin in Ukraine is reckless. He would not stop with Ukraine and our NATO allies would be next. Putin is fanatically committed to restoring Russia’s glory days, calling the collapse of the Soviet Union ‘the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century’ and claiming Russia was ‘robbed’ in the breakup. . . Congress Must Investigate Trump’s Aid and Comfort to Putin.”

TWENTY-FOUR HUNDRED FEDERAL AGENTS JUST OCCUPIED AN AMERICAN CITY AND THE TARGET IS A SOMALI NEIGHBORHOOD Minneapolis. Not a war zone. Not a border town. A city where people live, work, send their kids to school Donald Trump's Department of Homeland Security has poured in more than 2,400 agents. That's more than double the entire local police force Think about that math. Federal agents outnumbering actual cops two to one in a major American city Why Minneapolis. Why now. Because Ilhan Omar represents it. Because Somali immigrants live there. Because Trump never stopped hunting the one congresswoman who won't bow to him They're calling it a fraud investigation. One alleged scheme. Somehow that justifies turning an entire community into an occupied zone Hundreds more agents are being sent in right now. Not pulled back. Added Kids are watching unmarked vehicles roll through their neighborhoods on the way to school. Families are scared to leave their own houses This is the same week DOJ raided Omar's home. Same week they're trying to strip her citizenship. You think the timing is a coincidence It isn't. This is a coordinated campaign against one congresswoman and everyone who looks like her constituents Trump built an army to go after his critics and he's using an entire city as the training ground This is not law enforcement. This is intimidation with a badge and a bigger budget than your local PD And he is not going to stop until every immigrant community in this country knows exactly what Trump thinks of them

THUS SPEAKS A PRESIDENT 🇺🇦 “I made a mistake in believing Donald Trump’s promises. He assured the world that he would help Ukraine and put an end to this war if he returned to the White House. Yet, more than a year into his presidency, Ukraine is still fighting for its survival. Instead of standing firmly by the side of a country defending itself against an invasion, Trump has taken positions that raise serious questions about America’s commitment to Ukraine. His approach has left many Ukrainians wondering whether the promises made to us would ever be kept. Everyone understands that prices are rising because of the war in the Middle East—due to the conflict there and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Everyone understands this. If we wish to communicate honestly with people, if we want to be clear, if we want to speak openly with our citizens, then people deserve to hear the truth. There is no need to play games with people. But let me make one thing clear: Ukraine is a sovereign nation, not a piece of property belonging to the United States. Donald Trump cannot simply decide who governs our country or dictate our future. Behind this war lie millions of Ukrainians who have lost loved ones—children who have grown up to the sound of explosions, families forced to flee their homes, and soldiers who have sacrificed everything to defend our homeland. Their suffering cannot be erased by a political deal, and their sacrifices cannot be bartered away for someone else’s interests. We will continue to fight for our independence, our freedom, and the right of the Ukrainian people to determine their own destiny. I still believe there are Americans who understand our struggle and stand by our side.” Ukraine has endured too much to surrender its future now. We will not abandon our people, we will not forget our fallen heroes, and we will not allow external pressures to decide the fate of our nation. Putin and Russia will pay. OUR FUTURE BELONGS TO THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE — NOT TO DONALD TRUMP, NOT TO PUTIN, AND NOT TO ANY FOREIGN POWER. Onward, Armed Forces; Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
