have now been flying drones for 10 years, starting with the DJI Phantom 3 4k, all the way to my current DJI Air 3S. I have learnt a lot in that time, but if there is one take away, it’s you don’t alway have to go high.

There is a story behind these photos. They were taken on 22nd of February 2022. At the time my wife was in Ukraine, I was in the UK on family business. The massive build up of Russian troops around Ukraine was extraordinary stressful to everyone.
Rather than sit at home, I decided to drive the 50 miles down to Cuckmere Haven to shoot the white cliffs. Only it was grey and raining. Not wanting to return to an empty flat, I waited and waited in my car for over 6 hours.
Suddenly the light broke. I headed down to the beach and shot these images in 30 minutes. They are my favourite images of the last 10 years, 36 hours later Russian invaded Ukraine and ours and millions of other lives changed forever. #sevensisters #cuckmerehaven #seascape
