Simon van Dorp thinks he might be the first Dutch rower to gain two gold medals at the same world champs - I think he might well be the first male NED rower to do so. Any NED experts let me know if you disagree!
Been a bit busy in the mix zone, and soon going to the airport. But got to give massive credit to Simona Radis of Romania for getting THREE GOLDS in one week, two in Olympic events. And Adriana Adam of course, but Radis as stroke of all three was the one holding it all together.
Im going to call this the #BosbaanBump, a place for those without grandstand tickets to stand, see crews row past, feel closer to the raft action, watch medallists hug the families and still be able to see the big screen. Its worked out really well.

GBR currently 5th in the medal table. USA lead it. GBR would be 4th on the Oly/Para only medal table.
The Bosbaan might get a few dry hours now to finish racing, looking at the radar weather maps. A weak sun's coming through the clouds for a while.
One good thing about this course, the soil's like sand, water disappears through it so quickly. No annoying clay-like mud.

They have redrawn the lanes: the wind is quite strong at times, but is more directly tail than all week, thankfully.

"Sunday's racing programme has been slightly changed due to 4 of the ROU W8+ doubling up into the Mx8+ later in the session. As ROU are racing in the W8+ final & could reach the podium, time had to be factored in for the ceremony before the Mx8+ boats for their race."
Other press in the media centre have asked if this has been done before. Yes, twice at wcups in 2011 and 2019. Never at the world champs or Olympics/Paralympics before.
The data is always a nightmare, even in 2011 when they planned in advance to do it.
