As a small school fan, I don't give a shit if the casuals say "it's not a good product." You know what's not a good product? Spoiled kids like Arch Manning and Bryce Underwood getting paid millions to not give a shit. Give me a mid major of players who CARE over that crap.

Look at all the G5 schools that have made it. Rewatch those games. Its not a good product. Yeah there is an upset that can happen but it is a rare. But because of the current roster construction in college it is different then when teams were requiring on pipelines.

Then when they get blown out cause of the talent descrepancy then you sit there and say: "Yeah thats why they shouldnt be in it." Lot of these MAC and Sun Belt teams cant get talent and with NIL it even worse now.

That 1990 Oakland As team had the highest payroll in baseball. MLB still had no salary cap back then. And fewer revenue sources. It's not that small markets can't spend now, it's that they don't want to.

I remember I was at WBAP covering the Rangers that year… And when the A’s came to town, it was like a rock concert… Their clubhouse was like a frat house… They were good and they knew it and were cocky about it…

When Rangers played at Milwaukee, it was evident from series' first pitch, that Brewers were doing things on a different level from everybody else. Analytics played a part. Grit played a part. Discipline played a part. But the magnificence of the Brewers is they got wholesale buy-in to a team approach that made the collective far greater than the sum of its parts. It's the real secret sauce.
