Brewers-Rays. The best team in the NL. The best team in the AL. We will have a first-time World Series champion.

Junior Caminero, 2-pt conversion successful

After the Dodgers’ three-peat dream turned into an NLCS nightmare, Miguel Rojas addressed his teammates, thanked them for changing his life and let them know this was it. Whatever comes next for the Dodgers’ aging dynasty, change is ahead: 🔗: foxsports.com/stories/mlb/do…

“I’m going to start thinking about what’s going to happen in my life as a baseball person… I want to start my career on the other side of this business, and I’m looking forward to do it here with the Los Angeles Dodgers.”

“This is it,” Miguel Rojas told me. He will be retiring.

Shohei Ohtani said it’s “hard to tell at this point” if he will need any procedures to address his injuries this offseason.

Keep going back to this, but the Brewers faced the defending back-to-back AL Cy Young Award winner, the reigning World Series MVP, another two-time Cy Young Award winner and a No. 4 that would’ve been a No. 1 in some playoff rotations… …and won all four games. Remarkable.

The Dodgers' three-peat dreams are over. The Brewers are in the World Series for the first time since 1982 and are the first MLB team to sweep a playoff series against a team that swept them the year prior. LAD went 4-for-27 with RISP in the NLCS, 5-for-43 in the postseason.

The Brewers, who ranked 29th in MLB in home runs, have six more homers than the Dodgers in the NLCS.

The Dodgers got a leadoff double from Andy Pages to put the tying runner in scoring position, then stranded him at third. Pretty much sums up their offense this postseason.

About as animated as you will ever see Shohei Ohtani, understandably.

And there it is. Shohei Ohtani, moved back up to the leadoff spot, three-run home run. It's his first homer since Aug. 18. And the Dodgers lead 4-0.

I'll see your first pitch homer and raise you a first pitch 5-6-3.

Dave Roberts said he moved Shohei Ohtani to the leadoff spot because he liked Ohtani’s at-bats yesterday and work the last couple days. Also, he wanted to “shake it up a little bit.”

The Brewers haven't simply small-balled their way to three straight wins; they have taken it to the Dodgers in every facet. Now, the Dodgers will "have to make a little more history along the way" if they want to keep their three-peat dream alive: foxsports.com/stories/mlb/br…

Max Muncy on the Dodgers’ offensive struggles: “It’s a pretty simple answer. We’re playing like shit, they’re playing great…don’t need to overcomplicate it.”
