Spread What's the gap between buyers and sellers? Resolution What officially decides the outcome? Learn those three and half the screen suddenly looks less intimidating.

Prediction markets have a wonderfully boring superpower: the small print can matter more than the headline. 👇“Did it happen?” sounds easy. Then you get: • Which source decides? • What's the deadline? • What exactly counts? • What happens in a weird edge case? The event gives you the drama. The resolution rules decide who actually gets paid.

Does “provably fair” mean better odds? Nope. In a typical provably fair setup, the casino commits to hidden data by publishing a cryptographic hash before the result is revealed. Later, the underlying inputs can be revealed and checked against that commitment. So what’s the actual point? Can a supported result be verified afterward? Yes. Does provably fair tell you what happens next? No. It’s about transparency and verification, not a shortcut to better odds. 🍻
