Hey #iteachphysics! I have become a much better instructor following physics teachers on Twitter, but I kind of sense that the boat is sinking. Where are y'all going to post your genius when the ship goes down? #teachers #Physics
A little survey from class..."How did Phineas and Ferb influence your desire to study engineering?"

I see you Gavin! I'm gonna need this level of enthusiasm when your classmate shows all his work and accurately calculates the max height and range of a projectile based off of the initial speed and angle of launch from their newly engineered ballistics device...😀
There's a lot we, as people and a community, can learn from this dog...

Today, we began our twist on the self-propelled car by converting gravitational potential energy into kinetic. Successes, frustration, learning, perseverance, implementation of prior lessons, and fun were all part of the first day!
Compound Machine Design gallery walk! Students did a great job and can't wait to see how far they take their future designs! WE learned a lot through this process.

The myriad of opportunities available to our students are amazing! As I strolled down this hallway, I was particularly struck at how diverse the students interests can be here @LaGroneAcademy! @ctedentonisd
As we entered our final day of the build, groups continued work until they achieved a consistent result. Way to persevere!
On September 24th, 2022, the Aubrey HS band's percussion won 3 first place trophies in one day. It reached 97° that day, but nothing could stop them from reaching their dreams. This has been a moment in Aubrey history.

As I ponder future opportunities for exploring engineering and physics, I find myself helping at a band competition and applying an "effort force" to a 2nd class lever...
At the conclusion of our "simple" machines unit, students are building "complex" machines and will show off their finished creations (with mechanical advantage and gear ratio calculations) next week! @LaGroneAcademy @ctedentonisd @dentonisd @VEXRobotics
This is how we greet students when cosmetology and a crazy co-worker get together @LaGroneAcademy!
We're under renovation/construction at school and what we're doing in class is all around us! Shout out to these talented workers that will never see this video. Their precision blows my mind! @LaGroneAcademy
Student walks in today and says, "Mr., I tried to set him free, but he flew right back." Then, he took him to class. A little magic happening each and every day at THE @LaGroneAcademy #teacherlife
