The Alhambra gives you two palaces to look at: the one above the water, and the one reflected beneath it. In Granada, Spain, the Court of the Myrtles turns a long pool into part of the architecture. The tower rises above an arcade—and appears again in the still surface below. A little farther on, the Court of the Lions changes the rhythm. Slender columns surround a sculpted fountain, bringing water, craftsmanship, and the courtyard’s layout together. Then come the details: patterned tiles, delicate plaster relief, and openings that frame the next space. These courtyards belong to a larger story. The Alhambra was a royal city, while the nearby Generalife offered a garden retreat. Together, they reveal different ways of shaping a place around light, enclosure, and water. This is what The World, Slowly looks for: a view that catches your attention, then gives you a reason to stay. Which would hold you longest—the mirror-like pool, the fountain, or the patterns carved into the walls? #Alhambra #Architecture #TheWorldSlowly

It looks like low mist sitting between the hills, with the sun still quite low. I can’t tell from the image whether it’s moving through or just lingering in the valley. That thin layer is what caught my eye too.
