Totally agree - although I try not to do the re-write myself and instead leave comments/suggestions...guessing @ananya716 might say she could do without the "grimace face" comment

#calicivirus2023 John Patton on combined rotavirus norovirus vaccine, from GIVAX. Based in re engineered rotavirus genomes to express some norovirus proteins. Concept: could this induce dual antibody responses. Choice of background strain of course is crucial.

You - yes YOU - are chock-full of DNA viruses, mostly silently biding their time, waiting to infect your children/grandchildren. Yes, it sounds like something from a horror movie, but it's also something that humans have experienced for thousands to millions of years.
Persistent childhood viruses are found in adult tissues, including internal organs, indicating the existence of a unique microbiome in our organs- the virome. doi.org/10.1093/nar/gkad199 #microbiome #virome @lpyori @DgPratas @MariToppinen @Espoonklaussi @SajantilaAntti @MaFePerdomoC

We had a fabulous talk by @HyserLab today. He reminded us of the beauty of Ca2+ waves and showed us how enteric viruses exploit them to their advantage. Bonus novel concept: Ca2+ wave fitness may act as damage associated molecular pattern to sense/maintain cell homeostasis.
Yesterday had Lab Meetingpalooza with @KarstLab that was absolutely fantastic. Today I spend the day with exciting researchers in @UF_MCS. I will talk about how viruses do a "HOSTile" 😈takeover of #calciumsignaling 💥by #viropoirn Ca2+ channels #LoveVirology #phdchat #PIchat
