J.J. McCarthy played ONE quarter Sunday and is currently the fantasy QB10 heading into MNF. That would give him as many QB1 finishes this season as Bo Nix, Cam Ward, Geno Smith and Sam Darnold. And more than Kyler Murray, Justin Herbert, Baker Mayfield and Daniel Jones.

Draft Analysts are coming out of the WOODWORK calling Drew Mestemaker the QB1 after the first half of the season... I think it's totally fair, and he's played at a high level, while others have regressed/got hurt. I'm still taking CJ Carr today ahead of him at this point. But think he is in the conversation with Dante and Trinidad. But the issue I have is NOBODY has done or said what @yougoodmuench has... take nothing away from Mestemaker, but look at the schedule of directional schools and food that he has played through his first 20 starts. The internet needs to see Muench's clip from @McShay13 show... it was perfectly laid out - #PumpTheBrakes DM is going to be very good.. but let's see Houston this weekend, the trip to Kansas State, Texas Tech after that - and hopefully a CFP berth! The Sky is the Limit for Mestemaker; his story is one for the ages... but let's give it time! Hell, he may still decide to return in 2027..
