Side effects may include neighborhood notoriety
Sad, I keep sharing about my 30 years in EMS and a former Paramedic and how much trauma and death I have seen from people doing stupid things in vehicles. When will everyone wake up and realize that the robot vehicles don’t drink and drive, reckless drive, text and drive, fall asleep, or go head on with another vehicle on Xmas night and take out an entire family from a DUI driver! Autonomous vehicles need to become law, not against the law. Wake up! My wife and I both have Tesla’s and every drive is with FSD!
Emergency drive away feature for Tesla’s rolling out over a software update! This has been needed for a longtime and it’s similar to gas stations being able to drive away and it breaks free. This is a huge safety feature considering recent events.

Emergency Drive Away lets you shift into Drive while still plugged into a Supercharger
GrokBot now works in Tesla’s. At this time you must be a SuperGrok Heavy user and have connectors setup in your setting in Grok. This should expand quickly. Great to see this integration.
.@Grok in your Tesla can now do meaningful work for you
With Connectors, you can manage your inbox, clean up your calendar, or talk through existing files/chat/tasks – all hands-free

For those who don’t know, these robot moves are essentially remote controlled. The robot rather blindly performs those while maintaining balance and such.
AI safety for physical robots makes the current crop of AI safety for large models look like child’s play. Extremely important to get it right.
Boring Company is working on a simple, precursor Hyperloop tunnel between Austin and San Antonio (>200 mph).
Due to traffic congestion, that journey can currently take up to 2.5 hours. @BoringCompany can reduce that to a consistent <30 mins.

I’ll re-post this every time I see it in my feed.
Cleaning a closed camera housing that was never meant to be serviced by customers is not something that we should be paying for - ESPECIALLY if you’re actively paying $99 a month.
Doing it yourself sucks and like Chuck said - you’re prone to breaking things.
If you get an in car alert to clean your cameras your account needs to be flagged and the cleaning should be free at Tesla.

@teslasi I am certain that your newer FSD supervised models are being much more picky about my forward facing camera needing to be cleaned. Both my Model Y and @Cybertruck are getting nagged much more. I have now scheduled service to have this cleaned on my Model Y, because apparently v14.3.10 is just as pissed as v14.3.9 was.
This needs to be resolved or more information needs to be given to your paying customers. This is NOT a customer cleanable location. I have tried. You end up breaking clips and risking GPS antenna movement and subsequent location issues.
This cleaning service needs to be covered under warranty until you change the design so we can do this ourselves.

I will never forget being at middle school in San Jose, CA and our school receiving some of the first Apple II computers. From making my first programs in basic to playing Oregon Trail. Monochrome green monitor, two 5.25” floppy drives, and that amazing Apple II. Thank you!

NHTSA is smart. Good to see that they’re on top of this and moving aggressively to modernize our rules.
NHTSA announced today that they are developing a new federal safety standard specifically for autonomous driving system performance to prepare for larger-scale Robotaxi deployments in the U.S.
Instead of regulations saying a car must have this particular physical control or design, NHTSA says it wants more regulations focused on whether the autonomous vehicle can actually perform safely. Morrison (the head of NHTSA) specifically says the standards should include measurable driving competencies and repeatable ways of testing them.
NHTSA also announced that it:
• Is launching the ASCEND consortium with SAE to accelerate development of AV performance standards
• Is developing a national AV “competency standard”
• Is updating federal safety rules to accommodate vehicles designed without human drivers or traditional controls
• Has proposed changes to five major federal vehicle safety standards, with “many more coming”
• Is developing new AV guidance aimed at helping the industry transition from testing to “mid-scale driverless deployments”
• Is working on standards covering emergency responders, remote assistance and safety management systems
• Plans to prioritize safety performance over specific vehicle designs
• Will continue investigations, enforcement and recalls when AVs pose unreasonable safety risks
NHTSA says the goal is to create a national framework for determining whether an autonomous vehicle is a safe driver.
Great to finally see the government taking autonomous vehicles seriously and trying to make changes to old laws that were intended for manual driven vehicles.

FSD feature request: add a Record Path button.
I need the Cybertruck to reverse the full length of my driveway into the garage. That’s the only way it fits. FSD always pulls in forward or parks on the street, so I cancel every time.
Let me record the exact path once. FSD learns it, then applies its own safety layer on top of that recorded route.
This would help a lot of people with tight, long, or odd driveways/situations— not just me.

I’ve decided it’s time to have a little more fun on X this year! 😄⚡
I get to speak at some amazing events, meet fascinating people, hear great stories, and occasionally find myself in places I never expected to be. So I figured… why not share some of those moments here?
And there’s more!
I’m also excited to launch my new merch. A little Woz spirit, a little fun, and hopefully a few things bring a smile to your face.
This is just the beginning. More adventures, more stories, and more surprises to come!
