Post lunch we’re onto our final panel before we go on our cycle of the new cycling infrastructure across Limerick.
We’re discussing the report: “Public Perspectives on Cycle Infra in Limerick” by @RossAEHiggins with #ActiveTravelLimerick head Sean McGlynn.

GOT dead army pull dragon from lake but physics laws must be respected! Cables work in tension only and can't carry comp/shear forces or bending moments. If you’re pulling a cable and not applying other loads, it will remain straight (ignoring self-weight). #StudyAtUL

Research published on the analysis of submissions on an Active Travel Scheme in Limerick.
Takeaways: Twice as many +ve submissions than -ve, access concerns from residents & advocates for the elderly and safer facility should support more active travel.

Engineering is the creative application of maths & science to design and build things. Not only do civil @EngineeringAtUL students learn about analysis & design, they learn a lot about building, esp in relation to the construction sequence, assembly and stability. #StudyAtUL
