🥚 When Lia lays an egg, she doesn't know what to do...
📚 Fledging asks what it is to lead a meaningful life, and sounds a resounding call for women to make their own choices, whether that means embracing motherhood or living child-free
When I started out with my slightly mad plan to do a US tour, I set my sights on 2-3 events. I said to myself, don't get your hopes up, just see it as a family visiting trip with a couple of book events (I am fortunate enough to have family along the East Coast -
who are putting me up and making this tour possible).
I did not expect to end up with 5 in person events, all with FANTASTIC co-hosts I'm honestly just so excited to meet in person/online. So join us!!!

So excited to announce this launch event in NYC with Ilana Kaplan, author of the @ELLEmagazine 'Should I Have Kids? The Purgatory of Being a Fencesitter'. Going to be a great conversation and @bookclubbar is open til midnight so we can celebrate afterwards. Monday Schmonday! 🥳👇
Very excited to officially announce the @renardpress US & Canada release of Fledging this October!
This will make it much easier to get hold of copies across the pond - available to order in any bookshop and online without paying international P&P, or download as e-book.

An afternoon photo shoot and hundreds of snaps later, here are the ones that made the cut.
But as those who've heard me talk about Lia's indecision in Fledging know, I can be pretty indecisive myself. So I thought I'd
When I give author readings, I most often read the opening scene from Fledging.
It's the scene that really catches people's attention, and it's one of the scenes I've edited least.
It sounds cheesy, but it really does feel like this scene just forced itself out - like the egg.
Fledging is available in paperback and e-book in UK, Ireland & Commonwealth - for further afield you can order online.

Really looking forward to being at Storyhouse Childless @StoryhouseLive again this year, this time speaking on a panel with Emily Monsell Holden
How I found the ending of Fledging, my #babydecision novel...
How does it end? What does Lia decide? You'll have to read it to find out!

Like many, I've been wondering whether to leave X, for various reasons -mostly that I don't have the energy for more than one platform. I've come up with the perfect solution: quiet quitting. So - I'll be here from time to time, but mostly you'll find me on Insta/threads
How do you know when you have too many characters? #WritingCommunity Asking for a friend... 🙈
