The annual budget for hunting things…. Finally purchased the Leupold Twilight for my Begara that has been sitting for two years. At this rate I might have it ready for season 2027 lol.
Have been iron sites since I started hunting what’s one more season
Didn’t budge one a quote in September, customer just called and wants to move forward in the spring. Stay firm in your value
Any NY hunters here? I want to hunt public land upstate and looking for any input/words of wisdom. Looking to go in December for muzzleloader
I am in year four of owning my own business, I didn’t leave my W-2 until this past June. Four years of doubling down, investing and investing more in my family and business. Next year is on pace to put us into the next level of scale. Thank you Lord for purpose & promises
My wife’s real estate broker held a mandatory meeting yesterday. They merged with a much larger brokerage effective immediately. Kids are getting older, we want more kids and our business is booming as. Gods plan are great, might be time to change focus
We have never been in a better position to buy a modest family home. However the housing market is so shot we are not sure when we’ll get there. Here in upstate NY things are selling over value that need hundreds of thousands in work. Taxes up 20%+ everywhere
Bought a $1,000 ladder for a $1,600 trim job. Not including all the trimming tools. The ladder will pay for itself in no time. When you higher a company like me there’s a lot more than just the labor costs you see when we show up. I should’ve price it at 1800 but oh well
I never had a goal for sales and still don’t. The goal is to build a sustainable healthy business that feeds everyone and does what’s right no matter what. It’s working our great so far!
We made enough to call it for the season and be comfortable but it’s not about that. I have guys that count on me, we will work until snow flys. Even tho I’m shot we must forge on! Big estimate today at a lakeside property 💪 finishing the year strong
Kids are in bed so now it’s office hours. When you’re the owner you work all hours of the day. I was home by 2:30 today done with site work. Love being my own boss
Sometimes being the owner of the business can be isolating. So many things to do, so much going on, so much responsibility, many don’t understand the workload. Sometimes I’ll bring coffee to the guys just so I can BS for a minute
Sometimes the work I have to do isn’t ideal and can be dangerous. I don’t love heights but I such it up. This morning was an icy roof, that was really scary but we got it done safely and a happy customer
500K in upstate NY gets you into a house that needs 200K in updates/maintenance. We have been looking for so long it’s insulting what the market is. Worked so hard to afford this much and everything is garbage
Some days my guys finish jobs so fast I can’t even believe it. Other days they’re so slow, I also can’t believe it. Thankfully today they’re on the fast side. Everyone wants to go home for the weekend.
I care more about customer satisfaction and quality surrounding my business’s reputation than profit. I believe profit will come when your staff, work and reputation are five star.
I love meeting new clients, and they say, “I’ve been looking for a guy like you for so long. I have so many projects on my list for you to do”. Next year is gonna be our best season yet, by far
