One of the grimmest political tricks of the last 15 years has been convincing the public that disabled people are a bigger economic threat than tax avoidance, private outsourcing failures, or housing costs.

.@LindsayHoyle_MP Dear Sir Lindsay, Helen Whately is misleading the House. No one EVER got a Motability car for tennis elbow or acne. She presents no evidence because there is none. She is lying to whip up hatred of disabled people. Please refer her to the Privileges Committee.

We won’t be intimidated. Once again, the establishment is threatening to ban pro-Palestine demonstrations. There’s only one response: on Saturday, let’s get as many of us as possible on the streets.

Palantir has been granted “unlimited access” to NHS patient data. This is the same company that is involved in mass surveillance and genocide. We did not consent to this. Get Palantir out of our NHS, now.

Ben, your moral courage has helped truly transform the movement for Palestine in Britain. Your legacy is one of humanity and hope. We are all sending our full support to you and your wife. Thank for what you have done - and for all you will do in the future. Free Palestine.
PERSONAL STATEMENT: 6 years ago my partner of 40 years was diagnosed with early onset dementia. She had to give up work, although she was able to maintain a level of independence for a time. This left me able to lead PSC in its response to Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people. However her condition has deteriorated and I am no longer able to give the full time I need to the role of PSC Director. That job is too important to be done by someone who cannot devote the time required to fulfil its responsibilities in full. With sadness I have made the decision to resign. As many of you know, I am appealing against the outrageous conviction I received alongside Chris Nineham of Stop the War Coalition for leading the peaceful protest on January 18th 2024. The date for our appeal was confirmed yesterday as being December 14th. I will ensure that I am able to devote the time required to enable a successful appeal, and PSC will continue to fully support that process. I'm proud of the work that PSC - through its outstanding staff team and network of now over 100 branches - has done to build the campaign for Palestinian rights in the UK, in the past 10 years, becoming Europe's largest Palestine solidarity organisation. The movement for Palestinian liberation has been and will remain the cause of my life, and I hope and intend to be able to continue to remain active in support of it. However right now, my priority has to be my family alongside my court appeal.

How the world works in a nutshell: giant corporations profit from an illegal war whilst the governments who wage them tell the rest of us to tighten our belts.

I clearly remember Ruth Smeeth standing up in the Commons chamber and scoffing at suggestions and innuendo that she was a “spy”. That was the word she used. Here’s an excellent article by @kennardmatt that seriously suggests that Ruth Smeeth was/is indeed an American and Israeli intelligence asset with her links to The @CIA funded British American Project (BAP) and the British Israel Communications and Research Centre (BICOM). The BAP was founded in the 1980s out the U.S. Embassy in London due to concerns that The Labour Party was moving too far to the left. Its funders include @BAESystemsInc BP and, according to some, the CIA. Three current Labour members of the BAP are the Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar, Birkenhead MP Alison McGovern and Rushanara Ali - MP for Bethnal Green and Stepney. Anas Sarwar joined the BAP in 2018 and has called the organisation his ‘“special family”.” Alison McGovern joined in October 2022 and has been funded by the BAP to attend at least one of its functions in the United States. Rushanara Ali’s association with the BAP is particularly interesting. According to the article by @kennardmatt and @declassifiedUK Rushanara Ali was effectively recruited by the BAP back in 2004 when she was working as a Home Office staffer. Rushanara Ali became an MP in 2010 and was particularly critical of Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership (as was the BAP). She supported the 2016 coup against Corbyn and called on him to ‘“do the decent thing and resign”.’ Rushanara Ali now sits on the advisory board of the British American Project alongside the former head of MI6 John Sawers. But it is further information on Ruth Smeeth provided by Matt Kennard that is particularly striking. We have seen the recent furore over the revelations that Peter Mandelson and Andrew Mountbatten Windsor were leaking sensitive state information to Jeffrey Epstein. In On April 20th 2009, Ruth Smeeth passed insider information to the U.S. Embassy that Gordon Brown would be calling for an election. That proposed election didn’t actually take place until the following year but Smeeth’s information was nevertheless classified as ‘“confidential”’ and ‘“not for foreign eyes.”’ At the time, Smeeth wasn’t an MP but a Labour candidate for the Burton constituency. So who was she working for? Who passed her this information? Why did she covertly pass it to the U.S. Embassy and the CIA? All very intriguing indeed. Considering the intensity and persistence of Ruth Smeeth’s attacks on Jeremy Corbyn, the ‘stunts’ she was involved in around that time, one can’t help but ask if she was working to an agenda determined by agencies outside of The Labour Party. Ruth Smeeth now sits comfortably ensconced in the House of Lords as Baroness Anderson of Stoke-on-Trent - a lifetime reward for the contribution she made in taking down Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership. @Alison_McGovern @AnasSarwar @rushanaraali @RuthAnderson @Bicom @CIA @UKLabour @jeremycorbyn #LocalElections2026 #LabourDoorstep @BirkenheadLabo1 @Telegraph declassifieduk.org/the-secre…

Alex Davies-Jones has been the MP for Pontypridd in Wales since 2019. Before becoming an MP, Alex worked for her predecessor in Pontypridd, Owen Smith, and supported him in his unsuccessful leadership bid against Jeremy Corbyn in 2016. While Shadow Minister for Technology, Gambling and Digital Economy, Alex accepted gifts from a gambling industry company, Flutter Entertainment. Alex is a member of the lobby organisation Labour Friends of Israel. Alex has been accused of ‘weaponising the police and court system’ to silence awkward constituents. During the 2024 election campaign, Alex made a complaint to the police after a woman asked her about her voting record on calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. The woman’s home was subsequently raided by over a dozen police officers. Alex voted against @theSNP motion for a Gaza ceasefire in February 2024. In 2023, Alex was reported to the Parliamentary Standards Committee for lobbying. She was found to have breached the Code of Conduct for members. Alex has accepted the following donations and perks: £10,000 from Sainsbury’s heiress Francesca Sainsbury Perrin. £10,000 from @unitetheunion £3,000 from @WeAreTheMU £2,862.88 from the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation for a trip to Sierra Leone. 🇸🇱✈️ £1,718 from the Gibraltar government for a trip. 🇬🇮 ✈️ £4,704.20 from @BritainLeads for a trip to the USA. 🇺🇸 ✈️ £458 from @WeAreOpenreach for a slap-up meal on St. David’s Day. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 £,2,300 from Labour Friends of Israel @_LFI for a trip to Israel in 2023. 🇮🇱 ✈️ £500 in tickets and hospitality from @global Radio for the Capital Jingle Bell Ball. 💃 £2,947.60 from The @BritishCouncil towards a trip to Japan. 🇯🇵 ✈️ £2,600 in tickets and hospitality from @PRSforMusic for the Glastonbury music festival. 🎸 £1,220 in tickets and hospitality from @Channel4 for the BAFTAs. 🎭 £698 in tickets and hospitality from the @EFL for the Carabao Cup Final. ⚽️ £1,200 in tickets and hospitality from @Highmotive for a Wales vs Italy rugby match.🏉 £1,090 in tickets and hospitality from @UKMusicMediaTV for the @BRITAwards 🎤 £444 in tickets and hospitality from the @BetGameCouncil for the Ivor Novello Awards. 🎶 £700 in tickets and hospitality from @FlutterEnt for the Carabao Cup Final.⚽️ With her £93,904 salary + ministerial increments, expenses (£56,737.72 claimed since 1/4/24), allowances, generous donations and perks, Alex has certainly backed a few winners in her seven years at Westminster. ‘Poverty exists in Pontypridd, with specific areas experiencing high levels of deprivation, like the Glyncoch estate….Child poverty is a significant concern, with children facing disadvantages in education and health.’ On 9th July 2025, Alex voted for the Universal Credit/PIP cuts that will result in further hardship down the line for people who are disabled and vulnerable. Alex also voted to scrap the #WinterFuelPayment to pensioners 🥶 and initially voted to retain the two child benefit cap which ‘significantly contributes to child poverty’ in the UK. Alex also voted against an inquiry into grooming gangs and voted to restrict trials by jury. ‘The Labour Party - Working For You’. @UKLabour @AlexDaviesJones #LocalElections #LabourDoorstep @pontypriddclp

John Urquhart has blocked me so I can’t reply directly, but he’s publicly called for Jenn Forbes resignation and that deserves a response. The facts are pretty straightforward. Jeremy Corbyn attending and speaking at a Walsall Community Independents event equalled support for the creation of a community independent group. That’s not a personal endorsement of every individual candidate in that group, especially candidates who weren’t even part of it at that time. Jenn confirmed it directly. Those candidates weren’t even in the group when Jeremy was there. Your Party has been crystal clear that neither Jeremy nor the party has endorsed those specific candidates. Reframing support for a community initiative as endorsement of individuals isn’t truth - it’s a smear. The pattern is clear: construct a false claim, ignore the correction, call for resignations from people who won’t validate it, then block people so they can’t respond. That’s not argument. That’s a politically motivated attack line and it shouldn’t go unanswered.

As of today, Labour’s welfare cuts mean if you become sick or disabled, you get 50% less support. These are people medically unfit for work, being punished for jobs that don't even exist. When In opposition Labour said they would protect the vulnerable. Heartbreaking.

What a disgraceful and patronising way to treat healthcare staff working hours on end to look after us all. These training posts are vital for the future of our NHS. To use them as bargaining chips is appalling. Time to end privatisation and fund the NHS properly instead.
