Hacking community discovers retail arb 😭
I found this group of schizo money nerds who unironically stalk large retailers (programmatically, hopefully) to discover errors in pricing. It turns out, large retailers make mistakes when pushing things to prod (sometimes). For example, Walmart made a mistake and currently selling 12 pairs of jeans for $17 online. The individual pair of jeans should be $17.

Why are there so many apps to "help you ship AI-powered products".. i.e. lovable alternatives. Is the bar for innovation in this sphere really this low?

BREAKING: Sam Altman just revealed who GPT-5 is really built for: > India is our 2nd largest market > It may become our LARGEST > We’ve taken a lot of feedback from users in india what they’d like from us… > more affordable access > and we’ve put that in GPT-5 Now it all makes sense..

what a revelation..
Brez Scales shares what he’d do if he had to start from 0 “My biggest focus would be learning some sort of skill that’s valuable to other people, once you learn the skill it’s just a matter of finding the people who see value in the skill and selling them on it”

to win: -> build up momentum in whatever you’re doing -> reach crazy levels -> take a step back and realize this is not the highest leverage play of your newly developed skills -> go all in on a higher leverage play -> rinse and repeat

“Indie hackers” see this and decide to exclusively build within SaaS, building apps that arb very tiny workflow inefficiencies, then wonder why they don’t see success. You’re building the same thing as thousands of others and selling to the same bubble of ppl on X.

pursuing trading as "career" is probably most ev- life choice one can make. - you will not meet ANYONE; - you will have to live in your own egotistical delusion to fuel your conviction in making unsytematic bets; - your happiness rises and falls with $. this is rly the only KPI

ofc money is the main kpi in all money making endeavors but in building smth you are creatively expressing yourself—which is what career should revolve around u will also feel success in merely growing user count + customer satisfaction

it is time to become the next sbf.
Sure, anybody can make any software. You can make the next Instagram right now! But you wouldn't get anywhere. You could try to make the next PayPal, and even though it's "just code", you'd still fail. You fail to see that it was SBF's innovation and creativity that made FTX.
