Dear @BBCNews, despite @BBC’s top nature progs, BBC online rarely reports on the nature crisis. You even ignored today’s huge #RestoreNatureNow March (though you ran stories on Taylor Swift & ‘world’s ugliest dog’). Please fix your biodiversity news blind spot, for all our sakes.
An important closing address from Chris. Thank you to everyone who turned out and supported. Today we sent one clear message to all politicians - RESTORE NATURE NOW!!!

huge thanks to @RomyRawlings + @vestrefurniture for showing the BD team around their jaw-droppingly awesome + forward thinking The Plus in Norway by @BjarkeIngels - well ahead of its time with playful, progressive + productive spaces & passion to share knowledge + inspire others!
A fantastic session, with fantastic learnings, and I'm going to be quoting you (or Mr Whyte?) for some time...!
Thank you both so much for you time and knowledge sharing.
Finally, the humble bench is taking centre stage.
The Doc to my Marty McFly 🙌 @NickTyler4 and I exploring the enduring observations of William H. Whyte on how to create social spaces in public places. The take away, I hope, is the design decisions we make at the scale of the seat, profoundly impact the scale of the city.
I can't wait to bring this hands-on workshop with @NickTyler4 and @BCI_realm to the Festival. Do join us for a series of live experiments and share your thoughts on which bench makes you feel happiest!
The brilliant @RomyRawlings @vestrefurniture joins us next week for a workshop exploring: How does the shape of a bench impact the likelihood of someone sitting down? What is the latest research telling us about how design can bring people with different support needs together?
