Happy Veterans Day from the Hartley Hurricanes Football team! We honor and thank all the brave men and women who have served our country. Your sacrifices and dedication inspire us every day. We appreciate you! #bethestorm
Highly recommend attending the @Lowmaneducation training. Just the free resources alone will be beneficial to your campus professional learning communities.
Flashback when I taught an algebra camp and I wanted my students to understand parabola's maximum, axis of symmetry, and the 2 x-intercepts. We created catapults and had to do slow-motion videos to pinpoint the exact height of the parabola. We even generated equations.
Proud of my team! First ever football championship for @HartleyEPISD @HartleyCanes
No practice on Thursday! Check grades on student portal and visit with teachers during parent teacher conferences. If A player is failing ANY class on this upcoming progress report, they will not be able to play the final 2 games of the season! @HartleyCanes
#STUDENTSFIRST
Nate has Pebble Hills High School spirit week next week at his school for Homecoming. Think he looks pretty good! Loves it! I need to do something like this for @HartleyCanes football.
Come out and support the @HartleyCanes football teams as they continue towards their goal of a division championship!! They'll be taking on Guillen MS at Austin HS on Saturday, September 7th. 8am and 10am. #BeTheStorm
We're already looking forward to catching some @UTEPFB games in the Sun Bowl this season. I love Coach Walden's @CoachSWUTEP positive demeanor when it comes to leading young men.
Highly recommend the book, The Anxious Generation by Johnathan Haidt @JonHaidt . The book argues that the rise of smartphones and overprotective parenting have led to a "rewiring" of childhood and a rise in mental illness. Must read for any parent and educator.
