Get ready to celebrate. But I hope this long journey has taught you the same lesson it taught me—to value things that aren't material. Sometimes you look back and remember just what it took to get here. It wasn't easy reaching this point; there were days I almost lost sight of myself. With empty pockets but dreams to spare, I learned that growth can happen in silence, too. Many bet against me, and when you make it, everyone wants to say hello—but my people know who was truly there for me. I thanked God for the life he gave me, for the times I fell and he lifted me up, for the doors that closed and the others he opened. I asked him to always watch over those around me, and to let neither my path nor my heart change, because money cannot buy a blessing. I bear scars that don't show on the outside. Stories etched deep within. It wasn't luck; it was hard work and discipline. I haven't forgotten the nights filled with worry and despair, because that is where my motivation was born. Because I learned, after experiencing loss, that our falls teach us how to grow. And if the storm returns tomorrow, I know that my faith will always sustain me.
