Fuck every tax policy that doesn't tax corporations and wealth. Narrative of consumers causing inflation gotta stop. Texas raking in sales tax from inflation and immediately paying out corporations/rich. We can't improve our communities when rich continually undermine our efforts

When GOP blame mental health for mass shootings, they don't mean clinically diagnosed. They are saying if you don't believe in Jesus, then you are mentally ill. They don't believe in science, see anti-vax messaging and unwillingness to fund healthcare in rural TX

Finished God Emperor of Dune, gonna dump on the Dune series, apologies to the fans. Couldn't quite put my finger on what frustrated me so much about it until God Emperor really doubled down on the eugenics and "golden path".

Finally occured to me the author views entire world though core tenants of white supremecy, colonisation (Leto given planet by the crown), capitalism (Leto II artificially limiting supply of spice), Christianity (fictional religion based on islam in lieu of christianity)

What irks me the most is the whole series is this long winded diatribe about how hard the atreides have it being the savior of humanity when literally no one asked or wanted them to. For sci-fi, It's painful how unimaginative the author is in how society could be structured.

Texas doesn't have universal online registration. And supply chain issues are now limiting the number of voter registration forms state officials are giving out ahead of elections this year, they say. Via @KUT bit.ly/3nzPyB6

Texas voter registration forms limited because of supply chain issues

The secretary of state’s office says it has been forced to limit the amount of forms it gives out to no more than 2,000 per request, which has affected groups that help people register to vote.
