Good lord. Has it really been that long? I started text-based role-playing in AOL chat rooms and MUDs during the mid-90s, and that's why I'm building what I am today. Wild to think that it's been 20 years of @RolePlayGateway, though.

The key to a persuasive query letter is to be cunningly vague with your details. You want to show the voice, themes, culture, and hook of your story without too much play-by-play description or too much generalization. "Compelling" is the sweet spot between confusion and clarity.

Fiction/reading is a wonderful preview of the world, real or unborn. To survey the maps of someone else's imagination, to personalize and add your details along with theirs, to get a feeling for what you want, and what nobody else has articulated before as a possibility.
One of our peer communities (hello, @soundtrackio!) has been making great progress towards eliminating the need for server-based hosting! Be sure to give them a follow on both Twitch & Twitter.
We're still a ways out from going fully peer-to-peer, but indeed the future is near.
Starting with audio streams, the soundtrack.io team has been very gentle with PlayNet so far — but we'll definitely want more nodes if we're to tackle premium video streams before launch. Capacity!

Can anyone help me with vintage photos[UK]? Either public domain, or cheap host sites for access to pics of young children, to put faces to some of my characters at the beginning of their stories, without getting into copyright trouble.#amwriting #writerscommunity @TurtleWriters
