Five years already…
On August 15, 2021, Kabul fell to the Taliban. This remains one of the most painful moments of my diplomatic career as the «EU Special Envoy for Afghanistan».
A tribute to Afghan people & especially women, who are the primary victims of the situation.
"La Tribune Afrique," a pan-African version of the newspaper, publishes the infographic using African data Afrobarometre.
Despite disinformation by some, it’s clear that European Union 🇪🇺 remains by far Africa's leading partner for employment, growth & shared long-term future.
We dont leave Africa when there is a problem.
We stand by its population and help tackle the situation.

It meant a lot to be present, to show solidarity and to meet the health workers and partners on the ground.
The EU will continue to stand with those affected by Ebola and with all those working tirelessly to protect lives.
