Saying Shanks will kill Imu or blackbeard is definitely a bit of a stretch, but if Oda is truly mirroring Shri Ram’s path, it would fit. At the end of the day, it's Oda's story and he can write it however he likes.
On top of that Shanks is actively hunting Blackbeard across the seas just like Shri Ram pursued Ravana

Shri Ram was supposed to be the king of Ayodhya, yet lived 14 years in Vanvas (exile in the forest). Shanks is born a Celestial Dragon of the Figarland bloodline, yet he chose to live as a pirate.
