Many of our politicians are invested in Bupe, so they want the competition eliminated. It's alllllll about money.
All Kratom is deadly it should NOT be sold at gas stations/vape stores/ANYWHERE Admin needs 2 put out final 7OH rule NOW Kratom is killing our kids BEWARE of special interest snake oil
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
DOJ says this targets manufactured, concentrated opioid products, not botanical kratom. FDA/DEA distinguish natural leaf (trace 7-OH) from concentrated/synthetic 7-OH; 7-OH proposal is not final. CDC: kratom alone in 7 of 27,338 overdose deaths; most involve other drugs. justice.gov/opa/pr/justice… fda.gov/news-events/pu… cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/6… cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/7…

I really wish people would stop talking about POTS like it’s just a heart rate issue. If that’s all you know about it, that’s fine, but maybe learn what the autonomic nervous system actually controls. Tachycardia is one symptom of POTS, it’s not the whole condition.

Patient: I'm on fire, can I have some water? Healthcare Professional: I understand that being on fire must be distressing, but you can't have water. It's dangerous. Have you considered other methods to dampen the flames? Patient: I can't take this anymore. Healthcare Professional: I'm uncomfortable prescribing water for fire. Water isn't a cure. Are you a water seeker? Patient: Please help me. Healthcare Professional. We don't put out fires. Let's try physical therapy & a fire psychologist.

We are proud to announce that The DPF will be publishing a book in 2027. This book will tell the stories of patients who have suffered as a result of the untreated pain crisis, families whose lives have been forever changed, and doctors who lost their careers, freedom, and livelihoods after treating patients with pain.

6)But found some genetic max strength 12hr Mussinex DM which actually worked decently, meaning only coughing when there was stuff that NEEDED to be coughed up. I have real Sudafed but w/my heart issues it’s a dicey balancing act…so not unless absolutely necessary. CONT

7)Of course coughing w/back & flank pain sucks…and REALLY SUCKS with chronically slightly elevated ICP meaning coughing triggers daily migraines or severe headaches that can easily turn into migraines. Especially ocular headaches/migraines from cough/sinus pressure. Ugh

At the recent Huntington meeting, Andrew Kolodny claimed that “about 5% of U.S. adults are addicted to opioids.” Here’s what that claim actually means compared with the newest 2025 NSDUH: Kolodny’s claim: ➡️ ~13.5 MILLION adults addicted to opioids ➡️ ~5% of U.S. adults 2025 NSDUH: ➡️ ~3.76 million adults have any OUD — including mild ➡️ Only ~1.59 million adults have moderate or severe OUD (what is considered addiction) ➡️ Moderate/severe OUD = only ~0.6% of U.S. adults So Kolodny claims 13.5 million / 5% are “addicted.” The newest federal survey shows 1.59 million / ~0.6% of adults with moderate or severe OUD (opioid addiction) That’s roughly an 8.5-fold difference. And this is an addiction specialist making this claim. 13.5 million vs. 1.59 million. 5% vs. 0.6%. These numbers are not remotely the same. Are doctors allowed to just lie like this without any repercussions? @ChadDKollas

If you or a loved one/anyone you know has had/is currently experiencing difficulties filling your/their prescription for pain medication PLEASE READ! And follow the advice/suggestions given! Making an official paper/call trail will be important once our voices are heard!! CONT
While everyone was celebrating lawsuits against opioid manufacturers and billions of dollars were changing hands, acute/chronic pain patients were left for dead. Seriously ill patients are struggling to fill legitimate prescriptions because pharmacies are afraid to stock or dispense opioid pain medication. If you cannot get your legitimately prescribed pain medication, speak up. Report the shortage to FDA, but also contact your state representative, state senator, US representative and both US senators. Tell them exactly what is happening. Give them the name and strength of the medication, how long you’ve been unable to fill it, how many pharmacies you’ve contacted and what the pharmacies are telling you. Ask their office to investigate why patients with legitimate prescriptions cannot access their medication. Is this a DEA production-quota problem? Is the manufacturer unable to produce enough? Is the distributor limiting what pharmacies can order? Or are pharmacies afraid to stock and dispense these medications because of regulatory and enforcement pressure? We cannot fix a problem nobody is documenting. Create a paper trail. Report it to FDA. fda.gov/drugs/drug-shortages… Contact your elected officials and Save every response you receive.
