We are delighted to announce the signing of striker Elijah Simpson from Isthmian South Central side @Cobham_FC.
Elijah scored 17 goals last season & was part of a double winning Cobham side that lifted the CCL Premier South and Southern Combination Cup.
As you can see below, we’re already very familiar with him… Welcome to the club, @easynumba9 #HTFC 💜🩵

Mitcham News & Mercury 24 May 1968 front page has a map - not a great scan, but you can make out the route
With the news that Esther Rantzen has died it gives me the chance to replay one of the best moments ever seen on British TV

When winger Ryan Gondoh returned to Lewes FC in August, the happiest person to hear the news was Susie, an ardent supporter of the club for 25 years.
During his first spell as a Rook, Ryan visited Susie on matchdays, helping her to walk to and from the ground and ensuring she had everything she needed to enjoy the game.
Two years later, the pair are happily reunited. Here’s their story 🔴⚫️

Chelsea have managed to sell Delap for £50M, Jackson for £65M and possibly Mudryk for £75M. Do they use a hypnotist for their transfer negotiations?

As we enter the first day of September, we want to say a massive thank you to our head groundsman, Ric Ede. Ric has worked absolute miracles this summer - brilliantly helped out by Jamie Byatt - to produce one of the finest grass pitches in non-league football.
Their hard work is deeply appreciated by everyone at the club, and the pitch has rightly earned widespread praise from numerous visiting supporters and matchday officials. Thank you both for your incredible dedication!

🪙 Help Kiran raise money for The Royal Marsden 🪙
Kiran Megone, daughter of long-time Tooting supporter Tim (aka Bog End Tim), is undertaking a 26.2-mile charity hike raising money for The Royal Marsden.
As many supporters will know, Tim has recently been treated for myeloma and is in the middle of another spell of inpatient treatment. Thankfully, he is well into his recovery and gradually returning to games to give us his much-missed, unique support in leading the Bog End choir.
The Big Marsden Trek takes place on Sunday 13 September, routing from Dorking to The Royal Marsden in Sutton, to help save the lives of people with cancer.
Every pound helps in the fight against cancer. Please use this link to donate and show your support for Kiran and Tim - fundraise.royalmarsden.org/f…

The club was saddened to hear of the recent passing of one of its former players, Dave Fillery, who had two spells with the club at our old Sandy Lane home in the 1960s and 1970s.
Dave played over 200 games for the club and came from a footballing family. His brother, Ray, played for Tooting & Mitcham for three seasons in the 1950s. His son, Michael, was a very talented footballer who went on to play for Chelsea and several other Football League clubs. His other son, Gary, also had a brief spell with Tooting & Mitcham at the start of the 1983–84 campaign.
Everyone at Tooting & Mitcham United FC sends their sincere condolences to his family and friends.

The best part of the 100 is the interview with young fan Ravi. He just told the BBC commentators how much he likes the Sky Sports coverage. Great kid though.
Just don't need live bands or DJs performing at sports events. Also don't need music telling me when something good or exciting has happened on the pitch.
