The future of oncology depends on research. And research depends on the next generation of investigators. Today, the first #SOLTIYoung European Workshop began in Barcelona, bringing together young breast cancer specialists from cooperative research groups across Europe. The day started with a presentation of Dr. @Rodrosb and Dr. @elia_segui , followed by state-of-the-art sessions on luminal, HER2+ and triple-negative breast cancer led by Dr. Oleg Gluz, Dr. Evandro de Azambuja and Dr. Mafalda Oliveira. Their insights helped frame some of the key unmet needs that continue to shape breast cancer research today. From there, participants moved into working groups focused on trial and project design across the three breast cancer subtypes addressed during the day: luminal, HER2+ and triple-negative breast cancer. These sessions also brought in clinical and biostatistical perspectives from Dr. Meritxell Bellet, Dr. Gabe Sonke, Dr. Elie El-Rassy, Dr. Eva Blondeaux, Víctor Navarro and Guillermo Villacampa. This first day has reflected the spirit behind the workshop: bringing scientific expertise, young talent and European collaboration together to turn clinical questions into future academic research projects.
