Sara Coca reviewing how biomarkers may help refine therapeutic strategy in localized disease. 🧬 ctDNA is particularly compelling because it may help us: 🔹 identify molecular residual disease 🔹 refine recurrence risk beyond clinicopathologic features 🔹 select patients who may benefit from treatment escalation 🔹 potentially spare treatment in those with very low residual risk 🔹 monitor disease dynamically over time But the crucial issue is not whether ctDNA is prognostic. It is whether acting on ctDNA improves outcomes. 🎯 My takeaway: the future of bladder cancer will not be biomarker-rich just for the sake of more information. The real value will come when biomarkers allow us to treat more precisely, more selectively, and at the right moment.
